Just heard that I got into a secondary journal at a similarly ranked school as GW. My top choice has been GW, should this make a difference in my decision?

Oh and I didn't get into GW in time to petition, so I would not be on a journal in GW (assuming you can't write-on as a 3L, you can't right?).

Correct. Journal was a one-shot deal; no way to get on as a 3L. (Caveat: the brand-new secondary journal (communications I think?) did have a write-on open to rising 3Ls this year. But I wouldn't count on another new journal being added next year. There is no way to get on law review or any existing journal.)

Congrats!! That is awesome! If any transfer has questions about GW I can answer. I'm not a transfer as indicated by other posts here. Just here as a fellow rising 2L to help out with questions and other things.

No official rank, but I'm #2 or 3, 3.6x, TTTT, in DC, military background. #1 from my school also got waitlisted at GULC and dinged at GW.

Sorry to hear. There really seems to be a lot of randomness in transfer admissions - I was in the first wave of acceptances at GW and the first wave of dings at GULC. I hope you get off the waitlist.

Likewise. I was swiftly rejected from GULC, yet in at GW. Very interesting to see someone rejected at GW yet given a chance at GULC.

These cycles are crazier than our current weather pattern.
