I'm a fan of this guess because I'm looking for any possibility at this point. Didn't a bunch of T10's have deposit dates of around the 20th which would likely result in withdrawals from GULC this week?ctlutz wrote:Figured I'd throw in that my status changed to 7/15 today as well. I don't put much weight on it- I assume what has happened is they have waited to see how many intents to enroll they got from the accepted bunch and have now turned to a "maybe" pile. I'm guessing this means we're in the maybe pile and they only started substantively looking at our apps today.
just a guess.

I bet this last group will get offers depending on how many people deny offers of admission because they get accepted to some other school.

That would be cool and way better than my anticipated rejection.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I'm still waiting as well. ~15% at T25. Only applied to Georgetown. I haven't participated in the write on, b/c I was hoping to hear before putting in the time. But now I don't have a choice. Does anyone know how we receive our NetID and password to purchase the competition packet? I e-mailed OJA, but haven't heard back. I realize this is last minute.

So I started on the write-on. Is anyone else bothered that the editors of the Law Journal apparently don't know the difference between a principle and the adjective principal? I mean, principle case? Seriously?

I'm going to purchase the packet on Monday and then if I get in then cram the write-on and at least turn in something
but not going to start until I get in/if I get in.
Unless you need to be admitted to d/l the packet?

Maybe they mean that is like the fundamental case from which all other cases have derived.traydeuce wrote:So I started on the write-on. You have to pay to do this write on? Does anyone know how many spots are reserved for transfers? (basically trying to decide if this is worth the time and money when I may be getting a ding on monday but have deluded myself into thinking otherwise)

I thought "purchase" was being used loosely. I hope you don't have to pay, but I'm not sure.samiseaborn wrote:You have to pay to do this write on? And the write-on is for every journal, not just LR -- again, I THINK.

No, they mean it's the case you're writing your case comment on. Like most case comment write-ons, the other cases in the packet are actually the ones from which the case we're supposed to write on derives most of its ideas.bizen boat wrote:Maybe they mean that is like the fundamental case from which all other cases have derived.traydeuce wrote:So I started on the write-on. The website says $40 to download the packet. Is that common?Bankhead wrote:I thought "purchase" was being used loosely. yeah, it's $40 and it says something about how incoming transfers receive their netID and password. Does that mean we can't compete, because we aren't incoming transfers if we haven't heard? It also says all incoming transfers must compete to get on any journal.

I didn't notice that part about the ID. I guess that could solve my 'should I' problem.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
