Do you really think that, if I'm accepted, that they would just tell me via email at my request? I just feel so weird doing that. And I'm damn sure that, one second past 5 o clock, that office is totally shut down

Another day with nothing from CLS/NYU. Although I suppose I'm glad I haven't heard anything from NYU since they were all dings today.

Also, this is starting to loom at little bigger for me because I have some personal reasons for wanting to stay in the area (although not the LOCI kind).

Also, kaiser, I've been complete a week longer than you have at CLS. There is zero chance I'm emailing, because it would be asking for a ding. Also, you already have NYU. I just want one of them and I'd withdraw from the other.

Its just odd that no one is hearing anything. Then perhaps we are all just rejected. Fine. Easy enough. Just freaking tell us already, whichever way.

Indeed. I knew there was a 95% chance I was effectively begging them for a ding, but I was at the point that not hearing from them for another hour would have been the equivalent of a ding anyway, so I thought "What the Hell?".

If anything, it was a more effective means of withdrawing my application than actually sending a withdrawal, which seems to be completely ineffective for the TLS posters who have tried that.

And BTW, the ding letter they attached was dated yesterday, so its likely they were just confirming something they had already snailmailed. I guess I'll see whether I get an identical letter in the mail tomorrow.

I did the same thing mrloblaw did, with the same result.

Hard copy of the rejection letter was in my mailbox when I got home.

NYU it is! Stoked.

I live pretty close to CLS, so I'll take the fact that the little white rejection envelope has yet to arrive as at least a neutral sign (first I thought it would be yesterday, then today... maybe tomorrow....).

Hopefully a good sign. Seems like they're just sending rejections ATM pending another round of acceptances.

I'm quite surprised at how many ppl here are still UR at SLS. My view is that since (at least) four of us here are still UR there, there must be many more out there as well, since we are just a limited sample. But I may be underestimating TLS... maybe everybody that has a chance at SLS is a member of TLS???

Decision letter sent at S as well (

), and dinged at Chicago, all while at PLIP doing interviews. I think I tanked an interview because I was so annoyed with the Chicago rejection (it was like a half hour afterwards).

If NYU was an acceptance (of which I do not hold out that much hope), I'm still not sure I want to go to NYC - giving up law review, really cheap in-state tuition, being close family and having a pretty good shot at the local market for most practice areas and in other cities for patent work (at least if last week's feedback during interviews was anything to go by) for a city I'm not sure I want to be in long term and 120k in debt seems like a tough decision. If I stay, I'll have very little or no debt when I graduate.
