Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Based on how things are looking, I'll probably just not transfer (I'm also on hold at UChi). I'm at a T20 now anyway. I think GULC will probably accept me but I have strong reservations about attending given the increased debt/other negative factors for transferring students.

Yea unless you get T6 I can't see any reason for you to transfer.bmmccb223 wrote:Based on how things are looking, I'll probably just not transfer (I'm also on hold at UChi). I'm at a T20 now anyway. Probably not a great sign if you are still UR in June but there's no certainty to any of this.Hellurwschool wrote:Anybody still stuck on UR end of June? If so, any indication as to whether this is a good or bad sign? Please speculate away...

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Honestly, I would call the office and say you noticed your status hadn't changed in awhile and you wanted to make sure your application was complete. It is kinda strange you haven't gotten a change in at least 2 weeks. Not necessarily good or bad, but strange.Hellurwschool wrote:Anybody still stuck on UR end of June? Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Hey y'all,
I've been UR since 6/24 and called yesterday to check on status and they just said yes you are still UR and that was that. I didn't ask for more information because I'm out of the country and the call was a little rough so you might be able to call next week and ask for more information a little bit more aggressively. Not a lot of help but just wanted to share in solidarity.

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
For those accepted, how long did NYU give you to accept your deposit? If you're comfortable sharing it, would certainly like to know whether you intend to attend or not. Whether you paid the deposit just to give yourself time, or whether you didn't pay the deposit. Thanks.

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
I was accepted 6/26 and had until 7/7 to deposit. I already deposited, and there is a 99.9% chance I will be attending. Columbia accepted me 7/10, but I had already decided NYU was a better fit for me. Will probably decline Columbia end of the week. The .1% mainly represents me holding out for my ding from Harvard.

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
You have a shot right? top 5-10% from Fordham. (Since Fordham doesn't distinguish after top 10% you could look like #1 depending on who else from Fordham applied) Thanks for your response though. So, for the answers that came out last week they will have about ten days to decide. That is when a next wave would happen I guess?anjunatale wrote:I was accepted 6/26 and had until 7/7 to deposit. Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Perhaps, but I am not holding out too much hope. Besides, leaving NYC would be tough on me for personal reasons.
But, yes, my guess is that they will also get ~10 days or ~a week to deposit.
