By the way there was a safety issue friday/sayurday at main campus. I don't know if that will create any type of delay.

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
thanks for all this research randomstudent. here's hoping that we all hear good news tomorrow (also, I think that crimson link is referring to UG transfers, but the other data is informative!)randomstudent wrote:We'll see soon enough, but my guess is that the first wave of acceptances will come out tomorrow.George Washington wrote:Is Monday the day we've all been waiting for?
In 2013, the first reported decision was on July 8 (a Monday), around 4:30 p.m. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=125.) In 2012, the first reported decision was on July 6 (a Friday), around 2:10 p.m. (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5&start=25.) In 2011, it appears there was one wave of acceptances on July 8 (a Friday), and another wave of acceptances on July 11 (a Monday). (See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... it=harvard.) In 2010, it appears only 13 students were accepted, and in 2009 and 2008, apparently, 0 transfer students were admitted. (See http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2010/ ... rvard-new/.)
This year, the application deadline was moved up a full two weeks. Add to that the fact that Admissions told zoomzoom88 on July 2 that decisions would be out in "at the most 10 days but most likely sooner (aka next week)" (thanks for calling and sharing this info with us, zoomzoom88!), and I think there's a good chance the first decisions will come out tomorrow afternoon. At the very latest, we're probably looking at the first decisions coming out by the 12th, if "10 days" means 10 calendar days, or by the 16th, if "10 days" means 10 business days.

FYI, the article you sent out was about transfers to Harvard College (undergrad), not Law School. Here are the numbers for HLS:randomstudent wrote: In 2010, it appears only 13 students were accepted, and in 2009 and 2008, apparently, 0 transfer students were admitted. Haha. That's too bad. Decent of them to at least give you your app fee back though.ethmdv wrote:hah. I applied to xfer there in undergrad in 08 when they sent letters out saying "oops, we don't have room for anyone"... They did give us our app fee back tho

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
Welcome to another week.
Fwiw I used the same data plus extrapolating how long between the first acceptance and when people went UR and came to last Monday 6/30 being the date for acceptances. So they're behind. I think it's impossible to draw any conclusions on the past years data especially because they pushed the deadline to apply up two weeks.
I wish it will be today, though. I really want to figure out where I'm living.

June 12th Under review, Top 5%, top 30, very compelling personal statement I think. GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY! I hope my application cycle is useful for someone down the road!

I'm skeptical. It is a Monday after a holiday weekend, why not just do it the Thursday before? It's the afternoon too. That an I am still ready for review!!toothbrush wrote:is this legit ?onionz wrote:lawpersongirl wrote:In!!!! OMG
