for posterity's sake, i hope we can finally dispel the minority view that UG grades and LSAT matter at all for H transfer admissions.

Have there been any straight up dings yet? I'd keep the faith until the second wave of acceptances.

Does anyone else think there won't be another wave? Seems like the one yesterday was much larger than the first wave last year, plus they obviously bypassed the phone call stage, making me wonder if they just lumped the two waves together this year.

Relax people. The game is never over until it is over. I've seen some miraculous things happen when it comes to admission. Ride the waves, stay cool.

I like to believe in the miraculous, and sincerely hope it occurs in my situation as well as in the case of others.
Did anyone of you take part in the HLR write-on competition?

Yes. However, after completing the competition my spring grades pretty much made me a long shot for acceptance, so I feel I wasted a whole lot of time and effort . . .EqualJustice wrote:I like to believe in the miraculous, and sincerely hope it occurs in my situation as well as in the case of others.

Does anyone else have a current status date of 6/28? Do the dates mean anything, like they did at GULC?

I am 6/28 as well, and I don't think the dates mean a hill of beans--Boston beans, that is.

Can any of you admits tell us when your deposit is due? Just curious as that might let the rest of us know when to expect another wave.

Same here. I wouldn't read too much into it.EqualJustice wrote:transfer57 wrote:Does anyone else have a current status date of 6/28? Do the dates mean anything, like they did at GULC?

Also, I am correct that the deposit deadline for the first wave is Monday the 15th? If so, my guess would be we shouldn't expect to see any addt'l admits until after then.

Re: Harvard Waiting Thread 2013
Harvard tends to range anywhere from 40-60 transfers a year...sometimes less.
Now there were quite a few acceptances (I'm sure more from people who didn't report) yesterday but nowhere near that number.
Wait it out guys.
