Anyone know when RD is expected (or has anyone received a decision)? I've looked at last year's posts and they aren't very informative

I think decisions started last year on Monday July 11th. So, we should hear back starting any day now I believe.

I posted this in the transfer status change thread but my status for U of C regular decision just changed to U/R this morning. Anybody currently U/R? And how long have you been waiting? I imagine I am looking at a week minimum before a decision is made.

Noticed today. Checked around 5pm yesterday and it wasn't updated, but it could have happened yesterday.

For anyone as neurotic as i am right now (and for posterity):

First date that phone call acceptances went out:

2008: July 11th (Friday)
2009: July 10th (Friday)
2010: July 14th (Wednesday)
2011: July 11th (Monday)

Do you happen to know if calls were made in the afternoon or the morning? (I'm neurotic as well)

Do you think it'll be Friday because almost all of us weren't updated until today?

2008-09: no idea
2010: between 3-5pm central time
2011: no idea. Admits first got an e-mail message in error, telling them they had been waitlisted. Followed by apology phone calls about the accidental waitlist and extending offers of admission.

Does Chicago always make its acceptances via phone? Or will they send out an email / snail mail notification as well?

Also, when did the second batch of phone acceptances go out? I imagine since I just went U/R today I won't shed the anxiety until at least the second wave.

My understanding is that it is always phone calls, but
I am not 100% sure on that.

I haven't researched when the 2nd wave is, sorry.

This year for ED the acceptances, and the confirmation after 2nd Semester, were by email (or at least I never got a phone call.) Not sure what that means for RD though

That sounds like code for "there won't be any decisions this week."

I thought we'd hear back Monday. Then I thought we'd hear back today. I'll probably be wrong a third time, but I'm holding out hope that we'll start getting decisions this Friday.

That's certainly interesting, but why? Just because people do things on M-W-F? Or based on something from last year? Do you have literally no hope for tomorrow (being Thursday)?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
