DR 7/7

4% TTT. Applied FT only.

I just hope we hear soon so we can move on one way or another...OCI bidding deadlines are coming up.

That's true. I hope beyond hope that the low #'d peeps are getting in pt and the others are in ft.

This is true. And while I do think it would be odd to get into berkeley and not GULC, stranger things have happened in the transfer game. I dont want to rain on the parade but my PS was much better for regular decision than it was for ED (thanks to those who helped me fine tune it)

HAVING SAID THAT
there seems to be too many people with good numbers here for them to be straight out rejects, seriously.

I wrote an awfully convincing PS and LOCI about my personal and family need to be in Washington, and mentioned several specific programs at GULC that I wanted to transfer for. If they value any of those things like they say they do... plus my numbers are still pretty darn good.

I didn't think this was a total long-shot. Something's odd here.

I also wrote a very convincing ps. I also have very intriguing softs, but they have not been enough to overcome my lower rank....yet. Hopefully GULC loves them some unique softs, haha.

I agree. Please someone just help me grapple with one thing: Why are there people like butters who are T50 3% who are still not DR? They are autoadmits. Also, big shirmpin has similar numbers to me and he did not go DR.

Can anyone think of a LOGICAL explaination?
my only logical POSITIVE explaination is that this batch is reject/in group. Butters and the gang that are auto admits are not going anywhere and they are not likely to go to GULC anyways. Yield protect?

Hahaha, I REALLY hope that is the case simply because even though I would most likely go to Berk over GULC, I don't want this batch to be a rejections for you guys, especially you A'nold

However, i heard that GULC over enrolled students last year. You can only have so many students as teachers. They might be bringing the transfer class down from 100 to 50.

I just confirmed my new rank to them, which they didn't even ask for and probably could have guessed anyway.

Thanks. I mean, I know I'm still a long-shot, but I do think thexfactor is being a little too positive that us lower #'d peeps are for sure rejection if we applied pt. I still think ding, but I hope for something better.

It is odd that we have to go through this ordeal again, But beyond that--as shown by this thread during EA--we don't know.

We can't speculate as to what this wave was (acceptances/rejections/a mix), but we CAN say--if we don't get anyone T1 in the top 5% to post with a DR today--that (more?) acceptances are on the way soon.

I tend to agree with you xfactor. That being said, I remembered reading you saying this, this morning and thinking "damn, this guys is a pessimist"

NU- depends on work exp. If no then NO
chicago- no ranking too low.
UM- are you resident? if not then i would say no.
CLS- no

Guys I don't think these are rejections (as the rejections generally come via e-mail). This is what happened a couple of weeks ago and there were certainly some "auto-admit" people still on the board then too that weren't in the acceptance batch. I think we tend to overestimate sheer numbers, I really am convinced a lot more than just your numbers go into transfer decisions (bearing in mind your numbers don't mean a thing to their ranking). Keep the faith, I have a feeling this is the second batch of acceptances after the dust settled and they saw how many takers they had from the first batch.
