You guys are in. I wouldn't worry about the tuition deposit box. There's no way, based on your stats, that you'd be receiving a waitlist/rejection on the first wave.bblas wrote:Did you get an email or just assuming because you have the tuition deposit visible? Honestly, I'm just assuming. My Current Status is "Decision Letter Available within 24 hrs"bblas wrote:Did you get an email or just assuming because you have the tuition deposit visible? I saw Johann's tweet and (like the rest of us) I freaked and ran to check my status and decision. I'll confirm once I actually get the decision letter. But under the "Fees" section of the status check website there are two lines, one with an application fee and one with a Deposit. The sections of the table is broken into "due date" and "date paid". The Deposit due date is labeled 7/23. Thus, I concluded I must be in, and I must need to pay by 7/23. If I Sherlock Holmes'd the shit out of this and IM WRONG, Ill be pissed . . . and I'll go to Michigan.
Again, I'll confirm when its official. But I thought my detective work might benefit others.

Just checked the decision letter delivery system and I was able to access my letter. It said "Decision Letter" not available earlier, so I was in the same boat as a lot of you.

How do you post something like that without mentioning what the decision was...st-1 wrote:Just checked the decision letter delivery system and I was able to access my letter. It said "Decision Letter" not available earlier, so I was in the same boat as a lot of you.

Congrats, all who got in. You should be proud of all that hard work, and now you're seeing it pay off. I am still holding out hope.
Deedee, if NYC big law is your goal, you're better off going to NYU, and I'd imagine GULC probably places slightly better than NU in NYC, too.

So what's the deal with the interview? Is it just a formality before acceptance? Anyone receive a request today?

Re: Northwestern Transfer
I got dinged from NYU, so that really isn't an option for me anymore. I am very conflicted between GULC, NU and Michigan. My goal is absolutely NYC biglaw, my worry with GULC is that with a class size as big as GULC's it would be near impossible to do well at OCI.
Absolutely appreciate everyone's thoughts.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
Sorry to hear that but you've got some amazing options as it is, Deedee. Personally, between those 3, I would go with Michigan, NU, then GULC. It's a nice problem to have, though.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
