Why is it assumed that 4/5 updates will be deferred?

I'm 3/28 --> 4/2 --> 4/5 and just got my defer email

Just joining this thread now -- thank you for all your previous posts, super helpful and appreciate the supportive community.

No idea when my online status checker was updated the first few times except for the most recent time which was today.

Got the deferral email, huge bummer.

Any idea if any applicants were flat out rejected or was everyone who was not accepted deferred?

No, I didn't think the additional money for that jump was worth it (I at least have in-state tuition where I'm at).

I'm in the same boat, but if you go on http://apps.law.georgetown.edu/admitted ... ssword.cfm see if you get an email. I'm 3/27, midwest with no letter and I JUST got an admitted student password/username. Having said that, it's not letting me log on yet so who knows

sorry, want to ask the question again, maybe it got buried. but do we think georgetown deferred EVERYONE who wasn't accepted or were there some rejections?

know a deferral isn't good but want to know how bad it is and if they at least rejected some candidates, it might at least be neutral.

They deferred everyone, my impression is school do not reject transfers, they just put them in eternal deferral

then everyone got the "while the record you present is a strong one" in that email? so shouldn't take that to mean anything then, right?

i believe so... it is a form defer-email. mine said the same thing

also, a friend of mine applied to transfer to georgetown last term, granted it was late in the game but she was flatout rejected.

I am hoping there is. I guess I am just trying to gauge the likelihood of that chance.

well, hopefully people that were EA defer --> RD admit will post their stats in here http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 7&t=207607 so all of us (current EA defers) can get an idea of what to expect

Anyone have any idea whether Gtown is done with decisions - should we be excepting another round of acceptances/deferrals. I went complete 4/5 with no USA or letter or deferral email so just wondering.

Accepted people had to give an answer by the 22nd. So GULC should now know who from the first wave has committed. Good luck!
