Re: Penn 2012 Transfer Applicants
from all the info we have the number will not be an "unknown" but rather a PA number. so only don't get your hopes up unless its the cola company from penn asking for vinny
edit: just bought season tickets at my current school (a sign of my pessimism). I wish all these schools would just hurry up and decide either way

Literally laughed out loud. If that happens to anyone else, we know something is up...Lyonsoccer87 wrote:from all the info we have the number will not be an "unknown" but rather a PA number. so only don't get your hopes up unless its the cola company from penn asking for vinny

I do hope UPENN is reading this an laughing. I hope they call me to accept (well of course I do) and that they pretend that their name is Vinny.mileslibertatis wrote:Literally laughed out loud. Re: Penn 2012 Transfer Applicants
I'm just curious as to what a UR 7/2 or 7/3 --> 7/9 means (e.g. good/bad/ugly)
I was checking the forums all day for news of whether the schools to which I applied were updating/admitting anyone; this is like 0L applications all over again, and it's driving me crazy!

Re: Penn 2012 Transfer Applicants
I called today to ask them where they were on my file and to gently remind them about my Berkeley situation. The lady who answered was extremely nice - explained that most of the adcom was on vacation last week. She told me that one person had reviewed my file and a second needed to before a decision could be made. She then told me she wasn't sure if they'd get a decision in by the end of the week. I thanked her.
A few hours later, I got in via email. Anyone else get in today? I think they did me a solid.

In at Penn today! So very excited! I visited the law school last year and absolutely loved the place, so I'm looking forward to it; plus, I have family there.
For those who are curious:
Applied: 6/26
UR: 6/28
In: 7/9

Are you planning on withdrawing your other apps? The rest of us would greatly appreciate it.Certiorari wrote:In at Penn today! So very excited! I visited the law school last year and absolutely loved the place, so I'm looking forward to it; plus, I have family there.

Thanks. I don't remember my first update, but the second was 6/28. Status says offer of admission 7/9.opX wrote:Congrats - what were your status updates? I'm probably going to be straight with Berkeley. I want to go there over Penn, but if Penn lets me see if I can get into HSC/NYU and Berkeley doesn't, I'll probably go Penn. I'll let them know that and see how they respond.
Thanks for asking. Good luck buddy.

Anyway,
School: T25-30
Class Rank: Top 7%ish
LR, 2 CALI, Moot Court, Etc., Etc.
EDIT: Also, I noticed there was some discussion earlier in the thread about whether decisions were coming via phone or email. Mine came by email.

I'm debating calling them. Not sure what I should say if I do, though. I don't want them to get upset.

How many of you are under "committee review"/ how long have you been U/R?

Same here. Good news is we weren't auto-dings. I think they are starting to admit non-auto-admits, but they are comparing are apps against the late applicants, as well as waiting for the HYSCCN accepted students to withdraw their apps.opX wrote:I think I have the same updates.Lyonsoccer87 wrote:forever, UR 6/24 then 6/28 till nowtransferbound wrote:How many of you are under "committee review"/ how long have you been U/R?
