So there will be no update to the status changes. There is no ruse. I just emailed to ask -- GW will ONLY notify acceptances via email. They don't notify via status checker.

This is only the very first round of acceptances. I'm sure more will be coming in the upcoming weeks.TNFSkier16 wrote:Anyone receive a ding email? I'm freaking out b/c I haven't received an email!

Re: George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
I mean, each year the school matriculates like 100 transfers (between FT/PT), so you might imagine they admit up to 150-200. For EA, however, I'd imagine the number is much smaller, like 40-50 admits.TNFSkier16 wrote:Anyone receive a ding email? I'm freaking out b/c I haven't received an email!
One of you guys should compile a list of EA admits, complete with stats, etc., so that you can get an idea of what it took to make the cut. (IIRC, we did this for GULC back in 2010, which illustrated these issues pretty clearly)

Understood. Just would like to know either way. I assume this doesn't necessarily mean I'm dinged, just I wasn't a top candidate - i.e. there's other waves coming in the future. I won't keep my hopes up but not write-off GW at the same time.

I used my old PS but tailored a lot of it to GW. Re-did some of it but used the same basic PS.

Re: George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
I did not submit an LOR and I still got in. They really mean it when they say it's optional.
School ranked in the '80s range, 3.5 GPA, lots of work experience (none of it law related) and a decent PS. No ties to DC area at all.
Now the question is, will they let us extend that deadline for the deposit for a couple of weeks until we hear from GULC? I doubt it.

Highlighting how, on average, LORs for transfers are utterly worthless.Lawst wrote:I did not submit an LOR and I still got in.
