Re: Official Chicago ED Transfer Thread
I bet it's this week. However, I think that I said the same about last week.
It's funny, because I'm not as worried about it now that the semester is over. Life just feels, better? Let the good times roll, and maybe those good times will include a Chicago acceptance for one or more of us.

"The committee expects to notify applicants of decisions sometime this coming week." (from the mouth of the admissions office by phone on Friday)

Re: Official Chicago ED Transfer Thread
First time posting, but thought I'd let you guys know I just got a call from U Chicago. I'm in the library so I didn't answer, but the voice mail said it was good news about the transfer application.
Good luck to everyone in here, I've been stalking the thread for a while
Edit: I guess my stats are not that important for predictive purposes anymore since you'll all find out really soon anyway, but for the record: t30, top 5%. I do have connections to Chicago, but my law school is nowhere near there geographically.

When you say "denied," do you mean that you're "on hold" and now part of the regular admission? Or did they deny you completely?JPU wrote:just denied via e-mail...ouch
I only ask because I was under the impression that if you get denied, you're still eligible for regular admission

I took that as being denied outright.U of Chicago E-mail wrote: I am very sorry to inform you that the Admissions Committee is unable to offer you a position in the 2010 entering transfer class.

Denied. Didn't expect to get in, but I thought I might get deferred. Feel like I just got punched in the stomach.

Re: Official Chicago ED Transfer Thread
In today
But to be honest I am a little worried about "the contingent upon your consistent performance" part as i screwed up the timing on my constitutional law exam and my grade may be up in the air. So now I play the waiting game until my grades come in . . .

Congrats to my future colleagues. Those who were deferred, don't lose hope: several deferred people got in last year. To those who were dinged, best of luck in the rest of your cycle.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
