My status went DR on June 23, received a packet three day later (no interim email). BTW I was an EA deferred applicant.Marie9444 wrote:It seems like this batch is fairly random, unlike the EA decisions which came out in bunches. Does this seem to be more of a rolling admissions process for RD? Maybe it is different because of the timing of the release of grades and rank etc.
Also, people who have been accepted. Did you just see decision rendered and then you recieved a packet in the mail a few days later or was there an interim email?
Has anyone been rejected yet?

Did any of you receive notice when you went from UR to DR or did you just find out for yourself via the status checker? I've been UR since 6/9 and its killing me.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I submitted my application on 6/14 and updated my grades last week and finally went UR today. Hopefully it won't take long before DR!

UR since 6/14 and an EA deferred applicant. I don't think anyone will be hearing anything until after the deposit deadline passes on July 6. Then maybe another round of acceptances later next week. Just a guess.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
Is anyone started to get just a LITTLE worried that we still haven't heard anything from GTown!!! I don't understand what is taking so long, esp for the candidates like me who were deferred from EA!! Starting to get a bit paranoid and doubt myself now!!
I have to figure out my commitments for next year, such as an apartment and law review, and this pending application makes things that much harder! Also, has anyone spoken to any students from Gtown who transferred in, and know what their job prospects are like for next summer/ how they fare during Gtown's OCI???

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I wouldn't get worried, I was a deferred EA applicant who was accepted two weeks ago. I think the above poster is correct, they sent out a wave of acceptances and made the turn around relatively fast (July 6), so after Tuesday when they see how many of the first wave accepted v. declined their offer, they will do another wave and so on to fill the remaining seats. I wouldn't be worried until it gets to be August, there is a lot of time left in the transfer cycle, it's anyones' guess as to how many were accepted in the first wave (and it's also anyones guess as to how many of those people actually accepted GULC's offer v. another school since they were likely to have highest numbers).bigred87 wrote:Is anyone started to get just a LITTLE worried that we still haven't heard anything from GTown!!! Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I don't know what they are basing these first acceptances on, and why some have already heard and others are still UR.
I'm T1%, in the top few people, at a #60 law school...thought I'd have a pretty good shot at hearing SOMETHING by now!!

I have been UR since 06-10. I checked my status today and it still says UR but the date has changed to 07-02. Anyone know what this means? Or has this happened to anyone else?

Timeline: I was EA-deferred. Updated unofficials in the beginning of June. I went UR around 6/12. Officials via LSAC 6/17. Then UR status date changed to reflect 6/21-ish. Then DR on 6/23. Acceptance via postal mail a few days later, then ASW access via email a day or so after the package arrived.
