I guess I'm pessimistic because I haven't really seen any applicants without great stats. They have to deny someone.TTTehehe wrote:+1Jessuf wrote:I find it really hard to believe that top 1.4% at a T2 would get rejected/waitlisted today. Is anyone in here concerned about paying for Georgetown? Both admits and hopefuls? Or am I the only one who doesn't have 140k laying around for two years of law school?

I'm worried, but I'm paying close to sticker out-of-state anyways, so it's only a marginal increase in tuition. I'm more worried about the absurd costs of DC housing. The city is absurdly overpriced for being such a lousy city.IsTheFatLadySinging wrote:Is anyone in here concerned about paying for Georgetown? Both admits and hopefuls? Hi friends! I, too, got an update today. Sorry to bring bad news, but I'm fairly confident I'm a reject-- my grades dropped second semester, so I'm only top 1/3 or 1/4 at a lower T1. Of course, here's to hoping. (would loveeee to go to gtown) Best of luck to everyone!

Me too, and I'm also pretty sure I'm a reject as well, also with grades that slipped in spring. 3.3 gpa at a lower T2.lawschoolz67 wrote:Hi friends! I, too, got an update today. Have we still not identified anyone that did not receive a status update? It seems like they have updated all applicants.

I still have a feeling that if the update DOES mean a decision was rendered, it HAS to be an acceptance. Again, it makes no sense to waitlist or reject people at the top of their classes.
I hope you're right!

just for the record, this years EA broke the historic trends, so we shouldnt rely on history for RD.

True. Even the RD decisions so far have been unprecedented with the emailed acceptances.opX wrote:just for the record, this years EA broke the historic trends, so we shouldnt rely on history for RD.

Maybe. Some applicants may not be paying attention to this thread because of the title.
