HLS 2018 Transfer Thread Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

Just to include some additional data. 4.1 and #2 at a school between 90-100.
Still no call, but I sent my stuff in pretty late, so this is what I expected.

Did anyone have issues getting their undergrad and law school certifications out? My schools took a while getting them to HLS and I'm worried that affected my chances. My application didn't become complete until about two weeks ago.

I think that when S/Y decisions come out there will be a little bit of movement (depending on how many H accepted today and how many of those people bail on H for S/Y compared to how many H wants in their transfer class).

Actually, H takes in more transfers than the class size for this very reason; it seems that over the past few years there have never been a single extra call outside of the batch of calls. Sad, but I think it's better that we move on..

My application went complete earlier today and I was accepted. They were missing my undergrad cert (sent last Friday).

Somebody in this thread mentioned earlier that they were accepted via status checker. If we can't see anything on the status checker and haven't gotten an email, that's probably a ding, right? I'd honestly rather just know now if I'm getting dinged so I can move on. The waiting is killing me.

They said: "Congrats to those who got calls! For those who didn’t, it’s also possible to get in and not get a call, you might get notified via email/status checker (ex. me last year). Good luck to everyone!"

So I don't think that it's conclusive but still probably unlikely

Has anyone tried reaching out to law review or heard anything about when we should hear from them as well? I know it's unlikely I made it on but just want to confirm since they require you to be there early.

Law review results typically go out (for everyone, not just transfers) later in July. I think end of this week/beginning of next would be typical but you should search the HLS students thread to confirm timing. But this is definitely too early.
