Applied ED 3/1/2016. Was deferred 5/26/2016. My first year transcript box was just checked today, 6/30/2016 (even though it was on LSAC 20 days ago). Top 5% TT. Seems like the spots are probably almost full?

Invited to interview.
Any tips and what are my chances? My $1200 deposit (7/6 deadline) at Georgetown hangs in the balance.

Interview is historically a very good sign. Questions were pretty standard (why law, why Chicago, goals with your JD). I did get a greatest weakness question, too.browniestasty wrote:Invited to interview.

Hi all, congrats to all that have been accepted already!
If anyone is looking for a roommate feel free to send me a PM.
I'm a 28 year old male, hoping to live in Hyde Park.
Can discuss more details for those interested.

Anyone who was invited to interview that still hasn't, yet?
I imagine they should be wrapping interviews and sending invites this week? I hope? Lol.

I hope to hear tomorrow so I don't have to give GULC money.
Historically, how long after interviews for decision?

Last couple years they've started coming out the day after the last interviews. If Thursday was available as an interview day, then, I wouldn't expect decisions before Friday or next Monday.

Should I update U. Chicago with law review acceptance at my previous school? I know the application complete email said not to send updates unless they request materials or it pertains to C&F.

Has it ever happened that someone who wasn't interviewed was admitted nonetheless?

I applied ED, interviewed and was placed on hold. I had the exact same gpa second semester and don't feel awful about my chances. If I'm not accepted in this next batch does that mean it's essentially over? My deposit is due at northwestern next Tuesday and don't want to screw that up.

I applied ED, was NOT interviewed, but was placed on Hold. If lack of interview is indicative of rejection, I feel like I would have been rejected already instead of placed on Hold.Uncle Jack Kelly wrote:I applied ED, interviewed and was placed on hold. To answer your question, I was in the same position coming up to GT deposits when ED started coming out. I waited till the last day before my deposit was due and then paid. If push comes to shove, I recommend you do the same and pay your deposit.
The money is not worth the risk, even if you do end up getting accepted.

I hope so, my app updated from UR 6/29 to 7/7. Don't know if that means anything but it's updated a bunch of times so I'm hoping it's a good sign?Transfer2016 wrote:Is today going to be the day?

If I'm not wrong you have 4 days left to pay that deposit. Also, their OCI bidding ends on 13th. Hope you get that decision soon for your sake.Uncle Jack Kelly wrote:I applied ED, interviewed and was placed on hold. I had the exact same gpa second semester and don't feel awful about my chances. Yup! I'm really hoping to know about uchi today, so I can really think through whether or not NW is worth it. I wonder if it's appropriate to call their admissions office.KunAgnis wrote:If I'm not wrong you have 4 days left to pay that deposit. Also, their OCI bidding ends on 13th. I'm pretty sure that's exactly what mine did during the early decision time! So hope it's today! My hold email was sent at 4:51 EST back in May.moralsentiments wrote:I hope so, my app updated from UR 6/29 to 7/7. Had a missed call from some weird West Palm Beach number like 20 min ago and started freaking out it was possibly HLS or Chicago. Called back repeatedly over 15 minutes and continuous busy message. THEN... acceptance email came in right after I gave up! Phew...
