The email says that waitlist applicants aren't ranked - does this mean it is a lottery system?

Interesting considering medianish kids from our school last year got NU and Michigan. May want to check your application materials just in case.bmmccb223 wrote:Wait listed. Near top 20% at T20, also surprised.

Also waitlisted, extremely surprised. TTT (law school is ranked close to 120) and I'm right around top 25%

Surprised at WL as opposed to ding? No offense or anything but people with your rank at T20s got WL so that is relatively unsurprisinglowenjo wrote:Also waitlisted, extremely surprised. TTT (law school is ranked close to 120) and I'm right around top 25%

Yeah no offense but it's not that surprising that TTT 25% resulted in a waitlist. Nothing wrong with app materials but I may have applied too late. Seems like g-town filled up fast.

Also waitlisted, semi surprised, T1 top 25%ish Deans list, strong dc ties I think they are waitlisting a lot to keep their class size a small size. Fingers crossed would love to go to to DC. Good luck everyone! Does Gtown interview transfers?

Fwiw GULC probably draws the most from it's WL, due to the fact that some people that got in EA will go elsewhere

Does anywhere in here know anything about the transfer write on competition? I know they give you one week to do it, but I'm wondering how long it actually takes.

I'm not doing it, but I imagine you'd want to be able to spend the majority of the time on it like any journal comp.felinafelina wrote:Does anywhere in here know anything about the transfer write on competition? I know they give you one week to do it, but I'm wondering how long it actually takes.

Re: GULC RD Transfer Thread 2015
I guess my concern is, at my school we weren't given a week, we were given 4 days over our spring break (so no school or work or anything), and I spent about 11 hours on two days doing my competition, so 22 hours total. I can see how that can be spread out over a week, but is that a comparable amount of time? I'm concerned since I'm now working my full time summer job - I can surely fit in 22 hours, but I have no idea what range of hours the school assumes we have free.scottidsntknow wrote:I'm not doing it, but I imagine you'd want to be able to spend the majority of the time on it like any journal comp.felinafelina wrote:Does anywhere in here know anything about the transfer write on competition? Re: GULC RD Transfer Thread 2015
I mean there's probably a correlation between how much time you spend on the competition and how well you do, so you may just want to prepare to have a really shitty week when/if you do it. If you don't have a lot of time to commit, it's probably not worth doing since there aren't that many spots.felinafelina wrote:I guess my concern is, at my school we weren't given a week, we were given 4 days over our spring break (so no school or work or anything), and I spent about 11 hours on two days doing my competition, so 22 hours total. I did not expect anyone to get pulled from WL so soon. Hopefully this is good news. Congrats again.
