Plus, I plan on moving to the city that hosts my law school on August 1st, which means I don't know where I am going to be living in 2.5 weeks. #IJustWantToKnowlawman84 wrote:I hate waiting, period. Accepted via email, thrilled to be in!
Does anyone know if I'm too late for EIP / when the actual deadline is? Also any general knowledge on how transfers do at EIP / bid list strategies? I'm coming from a T20 with ties to both coasts, though not NYC even though I'm willing to work there.

Re: Columbia Transfer 2015
Thanks! Im not sure when I went complete as I actually only applied within the last week or so. I did send in the requisite papers and certificates over a month ago however so I guess my application was reviewed straight away. Never checked my status as I got tired of playing that game during 0L.yiyi6000 wrote:Congrats!! When did your app go complete?ForgotMyPassword wrote:Accepted via email, thrilled to be in!

Anyone else not in considering withdrawing their application so they can focus on EIW/journals/etc at another school?

I'm wishing I would because I hate having this hanging over my head. We're stuck in transfer purgatory haha.Paragon wrote:Anyone else not in considering withdrawing their application so they can focus on EIW/journals/etc at another school?
But I'm not going to. I'm just going to wait it out.

With acceptances slowly coming out this week, I'm starting to get pretty pessimistic. Tomorrow seems like a ding day.

For those admitted in the past week, congrats!
Does anyone know how secondary journals select members from the transfer class? Do they also look at the material from the LR write-on (which supposedly ends tomorrow)? Any information is much appreciated!

No. All you need is a writing sample, resume, and short statement of interest. Most transfers got the journal of their choice last year.makerbreaker wrote:For those admitted in the past week, congrats!

Re: Columbia Transfer 2015
Definitely not too late for EIP. Columbia admits transfers when they do specifically so they can participate, as we do really well at EIP. I was from a low t1 and got multiple V10 offers and even more within the v50. Most of the transfers I know did just as well.ForgotMyPassword wrote:Accepted via email, thrilled to be in!

You don't need a NYC tie to work in NY--it's pretty self explanatory why you want to be here and no one will question your motives. Feel free to bid aggressively, the honors calculations don't apply to transfers. If you had near straight A's, you have your foot in the door almost everywhere as a transfer except maybe WLRK.
Feel free to pm with questions!
