They were due yesterday - I tried solicitating info re who paid/did not pay the deposit, but no one responded. I have a deposit for another school due today so I have been hoping Chicago makes a decision on my file today, but it's not looking good thus far

wow. I never post on this forum, (I actually just created this account to respond to this post), but I cannot believe that you have not withdrawn your app to Chicago if you know that you are going to Harvard. I do not intend to be mean at all, but I know the rest of us that are either on hold or have not heard a decision are thinking this as well. If you know you are going to another school, then why hurt another prospective student that would jump at the chance to attend Chicago. Maybe because you paid for the app fee and you want to hear whether you got in. Maybe because you just want to say that you got in. But it would really help everyone else out if you withdrew your app.

What are you even going to do if you do get in?

Assumptions may be dangerous to make, but many students transfer to attain better employment prospects. Accordingly, what school has a better name and employment prospects than Harvard. Again, not to be mean at all, but would you really turn down Harvard?

If there is any chance that stillwater may go to Chicago, he should stay in the applicant pool. Plenty of people have personal reasons for wanting to go to a particular school instead of another school that's considered better. Chill out.
