I am struggling with this as well- I indicated to my internship that I needed to dedicate my full attention to this competition over these next few weeks and they did not seem to have a problem with it. I also find myself spinning my wheels a bit and am not working at a pace that I would have liked.

This is going to be a marathon. I think you should dedicate as much time to it as physically possible if you are serious about joining CLR.

I made a pie, and now the write on and I are totally cool. Everything is better with pie, even stupid long case note packets.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. It's really tough to do this while balancing the time commitments to our summer internships. I think secondaries at Boalt are voluntary- at least you have that if you want it.

I think that's all we need to do. How long does making each bid take? I haven't started yet, but do you think it'll take more than a day? I had some friends run some sims though, so I know where all of my bids go.

The fact that we can't use ctrl+f for the CLR materials is perhaps the most frustrating thing ever...

Should we be prepping cover letters to bring to interviews? My guess would be no and that they're only necessary for preselect, but I'm not sure.

Also-just got back from finding somewhere to live, and while there I spoke with the CDO who helped me get an idea of which firms are more grade-conscious (and less open to transfers), if anyone is interested shoot me a PM. If anyone is curious, transfers statistically do no worse than Berkeley 1L's in finding biglaw jobs.
