Well, my eternally optimistic outlook will force me to wait until close of business tomorrow before withdrawing everywhere else and attending Penn.

H cares about the size of their transfer class, and we already have several cross-admits here.mileslibertatis wrote:How? Why?lockiller wrote:Looks like H is going to make some move this week. Good luck to all of us still hanging there!

Yeah, and Cornell has an LSAT median one point higher than my T20.lockiller wrote:Law schools are extremely similar in terms of learning and testing methodology, and the quality of the student bodies in similarly ranked schools should be similar. Still, given the results from H and Y, we clearly see that T14 is an exclusive club and H/Y seem to believe that there is a huge chasm between T14 and non-T14 schools (10% in Cornell or GULC would easily beat 2% in T20).
This is another indication that this profession is all about PRESTIGE.

I can't believe it's over... but I am glad I am liberated to go to Penn now, actually.

It sounds like they sent out the acceptance emails at the end of the business day and will now proceed to get around to the dings the rest of the week.

Re: Yale Transfer Fantasy Land 2012
I know they do this, but it doesn't really make any sense unless they are going to accept other people. If this was it, then they would just send them all out tomorrow. They'll see if any of the admits this round decide to stay with H or Y (or maybe their current school). Although I imagine just about everyone will go with Y, there may be one or two who don't. I don't say this to get anyone's hopes up, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were 1-2 more (of which I will almost certainly not be one).mileslibertatis wrote:It sounds like they sent out the acceptance emails at the end of the business day and will now proceed to get around to the dings the rest of the week.

The fact that they made it a point to send them out today makes me think they are done and wanted to inform all the admits. If they were going to wait until tomorrow to finish deciding, they could have made the 12-15 phone calls then.

Yeah, strange. I've been checking my spam folder pretty frequently, not because I'm hopeful, but just so I can let people know I was officially rejected. This is like the opposite of the NYU situation.>insert witty name< wrote:still no dings as of yet? not even taking that as a hopeful sign, just a weird one....

Lols. Thank you for this, Miles. I guess I'll be honored just to receive something in the mail with Yale's stationary. I don't feel like I even deserve that.mileslibertatis wrote:

I really did do it. I also really did tell Columbia I was tired of waiting so I was withdrawing, but I used different words.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
