I think its rolling basis. I applied very early and was in the first batch of admits. Friend of mine got in something like 2 weeks later. I think I got my decision in early to mid July, so right around this time last year. Id imagine it extends into August, but my assumption is that most of the admissions are in July.TFR wrote:Not exactly on point. But would appreciate if you have any info on how their cycle works, especially with T2 students. Do they mostly wait till August to admit, or is it truly reviewed on a rolling, first come, first served basis?kaiser wrote:Congrats to the new admits. Last year, I had a choice as to whether to transfer to NYU or Penn. Ended up choosing NYU (left a T30) and it was the best choice ever. absolutely love it here and the school is SO transfer friendly. The students and staff all made us feel welcome. A group of us from my T30 all transferred to NYU and we all did great at OCI, as essentially all transfers do. Cant wait to meet some of you guys at transfers orientation.

Re: NYU Transfers
Thanks. Did your friend apply later than you? Asking because I went complete really early and am not in first wave. Curious if they "wait" before admitting some people. I heard as well that NYU is extremely transfer-friendly.kaiser wrote:I think its rolling basis. I applied very early and was in the first batch of admits. I'm still on 7/3InnocuousDiatribe wrote:Finally U/R on 7/6
Did the people accepted last week have a status date change on that day while UR and then a "Decision Letter Sent" or did it just change to "Decision Letter Sent"?

Re: NYU Transfers
I think that was his/her first U/R. There were a few 7/4->7/6 updates. There was also another admit who posted on the Berkeley Poll thread. With yours and miles stats, the steady 7/3 may change to a Decision Letter Sent 7/9.canesfan1986 wrote:I'm still on 7/3InnocuousDiatribe wrote:Finally U/R on 7/6

Re: NYU Transfers
Hey all, new here. Need to find other people who are as anxiously awaiting a decision as I am. Anyway, I submitted my app on 6/28 and went under Review 7/2, then it switched to 7/3, and Friday it switched to 7/6. So--the next step is Decision Letter Sent, right? Any idea if all the 7/6 U/Rers are in the same batch?

U/R 7/3:
Miles: T2, 1/1xx
Canesfan: T2, 1/4xx
Harmonep: T2, 1%
Haranv: T4, 1%
Looks good if they work with batches.

I wonder how much it matters that I'm only 1/139 vs 1/5 million like most schools.

Re: NYU Transfers
I dont think it matters that much. If it does, it shouldn't be worse than 5/500, which is still impressive.mileslibertatis wrote:I wonder how much it matters that I'm only 1/139 vs 1/5 million like most schools.

Re: NYU Transfers
Doubt it matters much, if at all. Think about it: you got the spot everyone was gunning for. There was a 138/139 chance that you didn't finish #1. Putting #1 on your resume is rare. You weren't in law school by yourself.mileslibertatis wrote:I wonder how much it matters that I'm only 1/139 vs 1/5 million like most schools.

It also should not be worse than first in section, which isn't first out of entire class.canesfan1986 wrote:Doubt it matters much, if at all. I need something to happen. I'm tired of checking these threads and the status checkers. Ugh.
