I don't see what the big secret is. The EA acceptances are mailed, people are receiving them, so they should have emailed people today. I suppose they are waiting for Monday, just to be sure the EAs receive their letters before letting the cat out of the bag. But then again, who knows. Maybe emails will go out in August.BattleBuddy wrote:I called them right around 4:30p est. I kept asking her about the status updates, were the people who got passwords the only EA admits, whether they were still making decisions, are apps still undecided, did a 4.20 status update mean deferral, when will they email about deferrals, do all people get deferred or do some just get dinged, and different variations. All I got were noncommittal, "Well I can't say..." so it kept going around and around about what can they say and are there any deadlines they have internally. But at the end, the lady on the phone all but said I should consider myself SOL.tink1 wrote:^ also don't put this wishful thinking in my head.TTTehehe wrote:Don't do that to yourself.Hoping5000 wrote:Does this mean the people who had their status date change first have a chance again? Seriously though, could they have made some kind of internal error? I don't mean that the people who have access did not get in, but that we may have both gotten in.
C'mon lady, was that so hard? Could've just said it from the start: "If you don't have a password, then GTFO of my face!" Time to ace these finals and apply to bigger and better places.

I don't even want to think about that. I'm just going to study my ass off as if these grades actually were going to affect my final law school GPA. I'd worry too much otherwise.zooie wrote:I only see that they require a final transcript be sent in. I have not been able to find some requirement as far as certain grades to get this spring semester.
Can someone say what that info is or where it is located?

Re: Georgetown EA Applicants
I got a PW but no letter yet. Not sure if its because I'm up in Maine and the letter needs time to travel...
1) Anyone in the same boat (PW/UN but no letter today?)
2) Did the people who received their letters have any additional status change or are their status checkers the same as they were when they generated the PW?
3) Has anyone ever received a PW/UN and then been rejected? I didn't see anything like that in prior threads but still a concern

I'm sure we'll get our e-mails Monday or Tuesday. I'm betting Tuesday. Probably a new complete date and an afternoon e-mail of doom. Ohhhh well.jarofsoup wrote:So where is my deferal?

Got my letter yesterday. 4/23-4/24 status updates, access to ASW, got in. We know what the 4/24 was now - it's the date that the letter was written and mailed.
Did anyone else get a little handwritten comment at the bottom of their letter? I thought it was a nice gesture.

Update:
For what its worth, GT says that they expect another wave of admissions. No promises on size.
And we will have to wait till maybe the end of this week to get an email of doom.

Thanks. I would guess that they may not be relying on that though because everyone who was accepted EA is likely going to put down the deposit. Unless some are just feeling especially confident.Jessuf wrote:If anyone wants to speculate if the next wave will come after the first wave's deposit deadline, my deposit deadline is May 9.

Yup, deferred. Anyone receive a ding, or do they not really do that at this stage?

That is indeed the question. Are there dings, and if not, when are they coming?MakeItHappen3 wrote:Yup, deferred. Anyone receive a ding, or do they not really do that at this stage?
