Hello,
I am interested in transferring to American Washington College of Law. What are my chances if my rank is a 39% at the most bottom tiered law school? GPA = 2.8. I was already denied at four other law schools, and i just need to transfer from my shitty school. I don't care wher.e

It's possible this has been answered elsewhere, but what is the deal with UVA? Do they not take many transfers? I'm just wondering based on the absence of a thread this year.

Very small transfer class (less than 5 last year) and they are extremely picky. The 2013 thread had T1 top 5% getting dinged left and rightbmmccb223 wrote:It's possible this has been answered elsewhere, but what is the deal with UVA? Do they not take many transfers? I'd say go for it. I'd only hesitate to report admission to a secondary journal.

Re: TLS Transfer Cycle 2015 (Class of 2017)
Just got notification that I received the highest grade in a class. My school doesn't have CALI awards, I literally just got an e-mail that said
Should I update the schools I'm transferring to about this? If so, how? And how should I incorporate this into a resume?
Dear TTtop13pct:
Congratulations! The Student Affairs office has learned that you earned the highest grade in Law & Economics with Prof. X for the spring 2015 semester!
Feel free to use this acknowledgement on your resume and as you otherwise see fit.
Sincerely,
Jane Smith
Student Affairs Coordinator

Yes you should let them know, or send them an updated resume.TTtop13pct wrote:

I indicated it on my resume thusly:
Law School, City, State
Juris Doctor Candidate
GPA: X.XXX, Class Rank: X/XXX
Honors: Law Review
Highest Grade in [Class]
Edit: When I wrote the post, I had it formatted better. For some reason when I posted it it just smushed it all together.
The bottom line is put it under the honors section of your resume (and add one if you don't have one yet)

People seem hesitant to update schools, and I don't really understand why. Booking a class or making Law Review clearly help your application, and even if it's something less than that, it's not like the school is going to get angry at you for updating them and then ding you out of spite.
