I'm guessing we'll have to wait another week or another two weeks, but who knows? Today might be the day!toothbrush wrote:today?

Where do you get that from? Besides them saying July 15th. There is absolutely nothing to suggest it will be that late.randomstudent wrote:I'm guessing we'll have to wait another week or another two weeks, but who knows? Today might be the day!toothbrush wrote:today?

I do not believe we will hear today. I believe it will be somewhere between the 7th-15th of July. If you look at the OCI dates I could be right.

I see no connection between your statement and the linked webpage. Elaborate.

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
If you look at the last two OCI's that are happening the registration deadline is 8/1/14. I would assume that the school would give us 2 weeks before the deadline concerning acceptance or deadline so we can a part of OCI.CounselorNebby wrote:I see no connection between your statement and the linked webpage. They moved the transfer deadline up 2 weeks to better accommodate for OCI this year bc in the past it's too much of a scramble.philippian413 wrote:If you look at the last two OCI's that are happening the registration deadline is 8/1/14. There's also a July 3 registration deadline. This might corroborate some other, stronger predictive evidence. I don't think it's of much use on its own.

I predicted earlier that decisions could (at earliest) be 6/30 (today) or, at latest, 7/3. Your post only furthers that. I mean, of course we have time to deposit and such.JuniperCreekEsq wrote:There's also a July 3 registration deadline. This might corroborate some other, stronger predictive evidence. Last year decisions were on a Monday IIRC so I maintain today. We'll see, though.

Did any of you petition for the Harvard Law Review? If so, do you think we'll learn about the results of that competition at the same time we learn whether we've been accepted or denied?

I think today would make sense b/c the history of Mondays + how long some of us have been UR.toothbrush wrote:I predicted earlier that decisions could (at earliest) be 6/30 (today) or, at latest, 7/3. Those deadlines are for employers who want to participate in OCI.

Last year ~4:30pm status checker update to "Admitted". Here's to hoping.

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
is it realistic to even hope for an acceptance today if I just went "under review" on 6/25?

I would assume no... but I don't know.Spikedude wrote:is it realistic to even hope for an acceptance today if I just went "under review" on 6/25?
Someone should sacrifice and call HLS and ask if they plan to give admissions today. Last year they were receptive and responsive to these calls.

Thanks for calling. If anything this rules out today/this week but I doubt we're going to mid July.philippian413 wrote:I took one for the team and called. They said mid-July decision.
Did you ask explicitly if they were making decisions today/this week?

Angela made it very clear. Mid-July.toothbrush wrote:Thanks for calling. If anything this rules out today/this week but I doubt we're going to mid July.philippian413 wrote:I took one for the team and called. They said mid-July decision.

Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
That makes no sense. Mid-july would be later than last year (and the year before) in lieu of the fact that this year the deadline was 2 weeks earlier.philippian413 wrote: Angela made it very clear. Mid-July.
Insider info also told me that they pushed the deadline up to make OCI process easier for transfers.

But at the end of the day they are Harvard and can do what ever they want and people will still be willing to attend.toothbrush wrote:That makes no sense. Re: Harvard Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
Why do you say that? I have a hard time believing that an entire group of applications that were submitted before the deadline will be automatically dinged just because they went ready for review a little bit later.toothbrush wrote:Yep. Seriously? What are you waiting for?
