So I was just updated today to "Under Review" on 7/5.
I had been Under Review before but my 1L transcript had an issue and was corrected, so they must have re-reviewed it.

What are the chances they are holding Cardozo applications? It would make sense, since I am also at Cardozo and haven't had much progress.

Well it says you have to withdraw from any schools that have admitted you thus far, as well as your home school, but it does not say that you have to withdraw currently pending applications. So that's my plan for tomorrow.

That's a bold interpretation...
I thought there was either a deposit option or a commitment option...?

Still a bold interpretation.
Don't get me wrong...I hope I get into NYU, but I sure hope it happens after I see where my other chips fall and not feel pressured.

I dont need to read the "relevant language" when someone says that they have a requirement of withdrawing from your current school and any schools that have admitted you thus far. I think the clear assumption is that NYU wants your word, BUD.

Well I see you have read my "relevant language" and that your 1L year has really turned you into quite the interpreting champ.

Just busting your balls.
I still think that the NYU stip is stating a complete commitment. I obviously hope it isn't, but I just can't see a logical split between them requiring a withdraw from the already accepted schools vs. pending ones. The pending ones will either turn into acceptances, and thus fall into that same category that required a withdraw, or they will be rejects which obviously is moot then.

i mean i see your point but all things not ED should be non-binding and the LSAC is pretty clear about that in their guidelines.

Once again, agreed. But to your point, NYU has obviously disregarded that as they have required withdraws from home-school and acceptances on non-ED. So it seems to be an irrelevant and meaningless guideline to them.

I kindof don't see your point here. The difference between accepting only one school that has made an offer already while reserving the right to tell Yale yes if they call you vs. accepting NYU, Berkeley, and Penn is the difference between dating 5 girls at once and dating 1 girl, but dumping her when Mila Kunis, who you asked out one time but didn't call you back until JUST NOW, spontaneously proposes to you. Most people agree that dating 5 chicks at once is a dick move, but nobody thinks it's reasonable to not date anyone because there's that one person who you'd absolutely elope with if she asked. And who wouldn't absolutely elope with HYS?

While a very cute and graphic metaphor, NYU might recognize that they are the "Jennifer Lawrence" to Yale's "Miley Kunis"; they'd never admit so. Nor would they allow room in their stip for such an admission. NOR would they know that Yale wouldn't be the ones who admitted earlier (thus making Yale hypothetical admits the required withdraws) vs. the Penns' who admitted later.

My application still appears to be incomplete even though all of the materials were sent ages ago. (by ages, i mean 6/27).
