I'm a 5/9-5/15 date changer too. Let the endless speculation begin!

Or maybe they made decisions and some people will get in and some won't. No one here knows.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Chi defers only those who have a real chance of making it at RD right? They also outright reject many if not most? I hope I just get dinged (or get in of course) rather than get deferred. That way I'll just stay put at my current school.

Updated to 5/15 as well ... I don't think anyone can guess anything off that, we're all just entering second review, should get a decision this week or next.

Based on Gtown's status updates in 2011, based off an empirical study of status changes in the past 20 years of odd numbered schools, and based on empirical study of status changes in the past 16 years at even ranked schools it is highly likely the school made a decision on your application*. Your odds (based on the above mentioned studies) are as follows,

Acceptance: 10%
Rejected: 88%
Deferred: 2%

*Still needs citation

Updates? Shouldn't we hear back a bit later this year since the deadlines were pushed back?

But see, there is such a low probability of making it here. Even so, foolishly, I'm just waiting for the deny/ defer confirmation to proceed on a couple of things...

Are you guys filling out apps for other schools, and writing other personal statements?

I'm pretty sure I'll get denied/deferred, but I hate to waste my time doing that stuff if by some miracle I end up getting in.

Yerrrp. I'm a long-shot at best, so I'm acting as if it's a denial. Speaking of denials, you think we will be updated tomorrow? (a week from the 5/15 update)
