Withdraw! Withdraw!dcpolitico wrote:Thanks for the reminder. Paying mine with my CC tomorrow. Anyone know if there's a benefit to paying with Amex? Do you think the buyers insurance included with Amex covers this? lol. One time my dog ate my $500 polo suit, and I sent it to Amex for a full refund (sorry for the Amex plug). I wonder if I could send in my NU acceptance to Amex in the same way? lol. $1000 limit per incident.

A company that insures law school seat deposits might be an interesting business idea.

Re: Northwestern 2010 Transfer Cycle
I just want to further qualify the Amex thing. The point is to go through the insurance route, not the dispute route (which would be highly unethical, since we know it's non-refundable). But Amex buyers insurance still protects you in those occasions. Basically, Amex's underwriter would foot the bill. BTW, the Amex card has a $500 annual fee.

^^ You're lucky to be applying to a school that didn't quit twittering at the high point of the process (like Chicago).

I assume admits have until the end of the day to pay their deposits, so probably no more decisions until tomorrow.
