Random, but extremely important thought: there are no CU Law-specific sweatshirts. Whyyyy? This was all I could find:

I noticed there's not much online, but there are a few t-shirts, window stickers, etc at the bookstore in the Union.

Re: Colorado Class of 2013
If you can make it to campus, there is a decent amount of gear. It actually is fairly difficult to find CU Law hooded sweatshirts, but the 2L class sells them each year (you just order them by the cafe in the building). There are multiple bookstores on campus, and they each have a range of stuff, I picked up a t-shirt a while back, there are at least 3-4 different t-shirt designs.
There is also a pretty funny non-hooded sweatshirt that says something like, "Colorado Law: CU in court" which always cracks me up.

And the "CU in court" thing is cute, but...it makes me think that we need to come up with a bad legal pun to put on a sweatshirt! It obviously has to involve Latin and/or obscure articles of the Constitution. And sexual innuendo(s). Then again, maybe we'll be better equipped to do this once we start school

If I can find a way to be ok with the insane amount of debt I'll be taking on by attending CU (assuming I don't get a scholarship), I will officially join this thread .
Oh, who are we kidding...I don't think I can stay away. Even with the debt.
So excited! I love Boulder!

Re: Colorado Class of 2013
I haven't sent in my seat deposit yet, but I'm pretty much for sure going to CU this fall. I'm holding out sending in a deposit so that I can at least make an attempt to negotiate a small scholarship (but not at all optimistic about that). I have friends in the area who I am fairly certain I will be living with (my old college roommate and one of his friends), and it looks like I'll be moving to Boulder around the 1st of July. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Oh, and I am also going to the March 12 admitted students day.

I think it'd be great to organize some sort of meeting/happy hour/whatever for after the admitted student days. When it gets closer we can figure out some details.

Re: Colorado Class of 2013
did anyone get a packet today with an alumni magazine (i live in denver, though, so not far to travel)? in good news, it has the admitted student's site info and an offer from a professor to talk to the admissions office and have them put in touch with faculty members. pretty cool...
i'm a little bummed/worried that all admitted students got it... except that some people got one with $$ info inside. mine had no talk of $$. oh well?

Trust me, you weren't missing much -- no money news at all. And I'm sure yours is coming soon anyhowKmissP wrote:I didn't get anything, so...

I am thinking about it...I thought I'd be coaching at a debate tournament that weekend but I have the weekend off. Good chance to see the school. Maybe they'll let me RSVP super late.

I got it today! No mention of money for me either. But with my numbers, I'm not really expecting any, so I may not be the best person to compare notes with.leftieash wrote:did anyone get a packet today with an alumni magazine (i live in denver, though, so not far to travel)? in good news, it has the admitted student's site info and an offer from a professor to talk to the admissions office and have them put in touch with faculty members. pretty cool...

I'm still getting over the shock/excitement/pure ecstactic joy of getting in ...and have pretty much decide I'll be going with or without scholarship.

Re: Colorado Class of 2013
I'm really in love with CU, wish I lived closer so I could visit. Anyone have an idea about average rent for a one bedroom apt close to campus? From looking on the Internet I could only find expensive dumpy apartments or really really expensive apartments. I'm wondering if there is a place heavily populated by law students?
Anyone interested in picking up a Colorado law tshirt and mailing it to us poor souls on the east coast?

There's an independent bookstore on the Hill which does a lot of CU Law Merchandise: http://colorado.bncollege.com. They have sweatshirts and t-shirts.

Have you received more information on this? I have only heard about this from my acceptance letter, but I already booked a flight and stuff. Did you just call them and say you were coming or did they actually send you something with more information? Thanks.BroncoHawkeye wrote:Anyone going to the open house on March 12th? Re: Colorado Class of 2013
Yea they sent me something in an e-mail about it awhile back, all you have to do is call or send an e-mail to the address on this invitation. I'll post the link with all the details, and you may need to log into the admitted student portal, but this should take you straight there: --LinkRemoved--the lantern wrote:Have you received more information on this?
