For those of you that applied to the Jefferson how did you submit your application? I can't figure out how to edit the PDF document so I can e-mail it. Did you just fax it or did you send it in the mail?

Print the PDF, fill it out, rescan as PDF, email.JohnWild wrote:For those of you that applied to the Jefferson how did you submit your application? I can't figure out how to edit the PDF document so I can e-mail it. Did you just fax it or did you send it in the mail?
EDIT: If you don't have a scanner your university, workplace, or local library probably will.

I'm 40 and the manager told me that they went up to 78 last year...She said not to worry about it because not everyone is going for the same type (one bedroom v. two). She said not to worry unless you're around like 75Philo38 wrote:I'm #22 and Ivy isn't an option for me so I hope you're right.dgouzoul wrote:bowie8285 wrote:i'm on the waitlist mid-30s....is that badYou should be fine, I talked to the manager and she told me that in recent years they have gone all the way up to #45.

If you go to the feedback section, include a valid email address, and comment that you cannot open it as a word doc, they will send you one as an email.JohnWild wrote:For those of you that applied to the Jefferson how did you submit your application? Just to clarify, Ivy isn't on grounds. It's a private apartment complex. Families are welcome, although I only know a handful that live there.

My issue is with the dog policy. Ogman, I suppose than that you are hoping for the 2BR? I am as well. I wonder if that improves or hurts out chances . . .YCrevolution wrote:Although dogs are not welcome at Ivy. I had the same problem, but I was able to open it and edit it in text edit if you are on a mac.JohnWild wrote:For those of you that applied to the Jefferson how did you submit your application? Wow, Congrats, you must have had an outstanding application because not many people get in with those numbers. Are you set on UVA?Muckduck wrote:Just got the email from J. Trujillo. I am in! I am thrilled!

UVA is def. my first choice. I will have to take $$$ into consideration. Also, I have to convince my wife that UVA is a better option than Duke (her favorite).

Re: UVA Class of 2013
muckduck- has your wife visited duke? i and my wife went down there recently. duke is VERY nice, no question, and worth going to if the price is right as compared to uva. but i don't think, from a spouse's point of view, that it can compete with uva and c-ville.
nice to see more married kids (possibly) headed to uva! congrats!

No, she hasn't been there (to Duke) herself but we have friends in grad school at other programs there, plus I have family connections there (had a cousin play on the national championship basketball team a few years back). I agree though, C-ville looks gorgeous. I am planning on visiting in the spring. I will bring her a C-ville calendar or something

No kidding? How much bigger than 165 we talking? I'd go at it with anyone of any size, but if you're a purple belt and 180+ I'm not sure I'd be enough of a challenge to make grappling with me interesting. I'm 165, 4 years of HS wrestling and a little bit of bjj here and there. On a good day my no gi standup is good enough that I could probably take a blue belt by shooting and keeping away from too much guard work.boo_pragmatism wrote:I can't believe I didn't see this earlier. Yes, I grapple. I am a purple belt in bjj. I'm a bit larger than 160 though. Also, I have been accepted to UVA. There is a pretty decent school in the Charlottesville area, from what I've heard.dailygrind wrote:I'm guessing it might be a bit rarer amongst law students, but does anyone grapple? It'd be pretty sweet if I could find a bjj partner around my size (165).
