Does anyone know if JDor Esq. /CPA/ASA is a good cert combo? I did research online and looks like there is a bunch of business valuation firms and expert witnesses with these certification? Lol, I guess I have nothing to do, but taking ASA exams would be fun and not too expensive.

ASA - Accredited Senior Appraiser, basically an actuary

If you have practice experience as a CPA prior to your JD, then it could definitely help; just my $0.02. I'm a 0L who doesn't know anything besides what he reads on the Internet, so take my inputs with a grain of salt.

When it comes to the ASA, and same with the CPA.. I doubt that these will help you much in law practice at a law firm, but they'd be awesome to have as an in-house attorney after you get out of the law firms:D Imagine working at PwC or KPMG, or even AIG:D

The ASA exams require a somewhat rigorous math background. If you haven't gone through school taking a significant amount of courses in probability, the test is not easy. It's doable, but it will take a lot more studying to memorize and understand all of the distributions and operations.
