Yeah, surprised by the lack of bls representation here.
I'm excited! I am reading getting to maybe right now---its really good!
What's everyone doing their last free summer? I'm traveling abroad for about 2 months..not going to think about law school, other than work through the LEEWS audio set and finish reading getting to maybe--other than that just relaxing.

I ordered Getting To Maybe off amazon the other day myself. As for the summer, I still have 3 finals to get through and then I'm just gonna work a little, relax, and have fun haha. Everyone should join the 2013 group on facebook!!goosey wrote:Yeah, surprised by the lack of bls representation here.

I'm going back to summer camp. Oh, to never let go of childhood.
Also, goosey, in another thread you mentioned that you are a member of the Islamic faith. I am hoping that this corresponds to a love and knowledge of middle eastern food, because I'm all for it (I'm hoping this isn't rude to say, or too much of a leap, but I'm really into good cuisine). I love me some shawarma, and I noticed a halal cart near the school. I'm also big into dates and figs, and grape leaves, and couscous. And anything containing olives. I was thinking it would be fun to have an informal group to share cooking ideas, you know, so we don't all die of malnutrition.

I actually ate from that cart the day I went to visit brooklyn haha--its okay. Nothing fantastic, but not bad at all. There's actually this place in paterson, nj that has the most amazzzzzing schawarma in the whole world. Its sooo good!! Patersons good really good middle eastern food.

I'm unfortunately going to be stuck at work until immediately before classes start. A vacation sure would be nice... I live in NYC, however, so the switch shouldn't be difficult.goosey wrote:Yeah, surprised by the lack of bls representation here.

Did you all apply for the BLS housing? I'm hoping for a nice 1 bdrm with a view in Feil. It seems like a great way to live during 1L.

It's true. In fact, there's a section of Atlantic Ave near the school has a large cluster of Middle Eastern restaurants and shops.wanttoleavemyjob wrote:Wait to you guys find Sahadi's it's walking distance from school and has the best Middle Eastern food. http://www.sahadis.com/

Just got my housing assignment. Feil Hall L Studio Plus. It's not as big as I would have liked, but it works. Who's going to be my neighbor?

I'm going to be in Feil in a 1br (with a terrace I think, though on the floor plan it looks more like a ledge with a railing).

Congrats on the 1 bdrm, Pablo! That was my first request, but I guess they filled up. I'll be on an upper floor though, so hopefully the view will make up for the small space!

I'm excited about it. I'm on the 9th floor, not so high but I think I'll live.

I'll be getting married the week before Orientation. Should make for a short honeymoon!
Wish I was living in any of the BLS housing, it is all beautiful. Unfortunately, my fiancee works in Jersey City so I will be making the 45ish minute commute every morning.
Anyone else commuting?

Hey everyone. I see people are getting their housing assignments. Am I the only one who hasn't received mine? Getting nervous over here!

Congrats, Bline! That certainly is going to be a short honeymoon! Though with all the work spent planning your wedding, you're probably an expert at time management and organization. It'll serve you well in school!Bline001 wrote:I'll be getting married the week before Orientation. Should make for a short honeymoon!

Thanks Sophistry!
You forgot another important skill I've gained from the experience. Managing client expectations! I can't think of a more demanding client then a Fiancee planning her wedding lol!

"3" must be your room number. I can't imagine they would make us ro-sham-bo for room assignments.ligirl wrote:I was wondering this too ..
