Wake Forest 2013
Just got back from their open house and thought it was great. They make it seem like they really care about each student's success. Beautiful campus doesn't hurt either.

Re: Wake Forest 2013
Congratulations on a nice visit. I've been accepted, but I'm reluctant to commit yet. I don't know whether I want to go to Campbell, WF, Central, or UNC. I'm good with all except UNC. Haven't heard anything from them yet. Are there any particular areas of the visit that could have gone better? Did you have an opportunity to sit in on a class? How are the facilities? I seem to remember some survey where the students said the bathrooms were scarce and the classrooms cold. I'm going to check them out on the 19th or the 26th.

Re: Wake Forest 2013
I'm divided between Wake and Georgia... They've both given me scholarships, but if Wake were to throw a bit more my way I would probably be totally on board.
They really made the visit feel personal, and it seems like they are really working to improve the reputation of the law school. They also seem to put a lot of emphasis on getting people jobs, which is good.
A couple of reservations I have are: 1. The business school currently shares the same building as the law school (and the building isn't great, but it's not as horrible as what I'd heard) 2. The library is a bit small 3. Wake's proximity to UNC and Duke could lead to me getting overshadowed for the high-paying jobs.
Hopefully I'll hear more from them soon. Until then I need to check out Georgia.

I liked the visit a lot as well, but I don't now if I can turn down either UGA or W&L cheaper with scholarship.
Guess we'll see after the UGA/W&L open houses.

I really liked the visit as well. I was impressed by their emphasis on career prospects and all the students I talked to were very friendly and honest (I think). I loved the class I sat in on. It was Con Law and surprisingly super interesting.
I thought the building was nice, but I think it will be even better when the law school has the whole building to itself.

Sent in mine as well. Still keeping my options open with a couple of other schools even though it looks like WFU is where I'll be.kickincane21 wrote:Sent in my seat deposit yesterday, so its official I guess. Very excited! Now what?? haha, just wait for next seat deposit?

Same situation, looks like there's about a 90% chance I'll be at Wake Forest next year (I'll always be a Tar Heel at heart though).PirateCap'n wrote:Sent in mine as well. Re: Wake Forest 2013
I applied very late and still haven't officially heard anything. I called the admissions office and they informed me that I've been put on hold, which apparently is different from the waitlist. Anybody have any insight regarding what I should expect?

Re: Wake Forest 2013
Deposit is in for Wake. Sitting on the waitlist at five schools though but the money they gave me would be hard to turn down in comparison to sticker at others should I get off. I'm a Nutmeg-er who went to California for undergrad and is making his way back to the east coast for law school. Just another adventure I guess.

I think its time to make the switch to the c/o 2013 thread since the acceptance thread has officially died. We need to get this thread out of the first page - its embarrassing.

I can't believe our next seat deposit is due in one month. Time seems to be flying by so fast.

who here is making it to the house hunt weekend? I'm currently abroad but I am planning to fly over for it, haven't decided where to live yet (and with whom) so most likely will that weekend.

There's always the $150 or the free options if you don't mind riding a shuttle. Just a thought.rickter wrote:well I for one am not thrilled about $500 for parking.
