Who's coming with me

Going to any law school is a gamble ITE. However, you definitely have some balls in turning down USC for Boyd. I'm not sure if I could have done that. Either way, I'm sure the school is happy to have you, since you are probably the highest LSAT scorer in the c/o 2013.Vegas_Rebel wrote:Charles Barkley wrote:I like the pic.
I just wish it didn't feel so much like the pic.
Maybe UNLV will jump like 60 slots in the next USNWR rankings and soothe my nerves?

It's awfully lonely thus far (only one other cat besides myself is on it). Let's get some more folks signed up!

Sweet. I'll see you at the ASD for sure.Haskell83 wrote:Agreed. I've been lurking around these forums for too long and am looking forward to the ASD in April. I'm moving down from Reno at the beginning of August and it'd be great to know some other students before this whole process gets underway.
Hit me up when you come back out, but take a look at Camden Pointe if you want an apartment.yo! wrote:Nah, I don't really see a need. I've visited twice and learned enough to make my decision. Without a good offer from Davis, I'm almost certainly attending in the fall. I will go back in July to find a place to live. Hopefully I can find something close to the school.

15 minutes might be pushing it, though there could be some decent places around. Most of the problem is that anything east of the school is urban / the strip, north is mostly businesses, and south is the airport.yo! wrote:To be honest, I need a yard for my dogs and a garage for my motorcycles. Free MC pass is awesome! At my UG, you had to buy both passesVegas_Rebel wrote:15 minutes might be pushing it, though there could be some decent places around. Spots to Check
Try around the Paradise Valley Country Club, maybe, or else between the 15/215 around Windmill and west toward Green Valley / Green Valley Ranch.
If you don't mind a longer commute, Summerlin is a nice area, but the 15 is a real bitch (constant construction) and so you have to take surface streets. That's fine as long as you don't need to arrive at class such that you need to travel during rush hour.
Your best bet might be splitting a house with some folks, though that's a little dicey if you don't know them ahead of time. In this economy, though, I'm sure places are available.
There are lots more places that are nice, I'm sure, but this is off the top of my head.
As an aside, rock on with the motorcycle. I ride too, virtually year round. If you can get a decent backpack and ride to school, parking is MUCH better, and if you buy a car pass you'll get your MC pass for free.
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
