Sounds like it, didn't get mine yet either. Obviously our alumni are busy pulling strings in order to make reservations at the finest of restaurants.
ha....
just got my dinner details....dinner with a judge and law firm partner...
Me too.
Edit: Najumobi, it looks like we're going to the same one. I'm the second one on the list.

Do you check your "GO" e-mail account. I just checked it today and found it in there, now forwarding all my e-mail to my gmail acct. It wasn't from her personal account, it's from "

just got in from an early night at louies in the cwe. seems like a good spot, they had some crazy deals on tonight 1.50 sloppy joe sliders, or jalepeno and cheddar corn dog, or onion, cheese and pepper tater tots. oh and $2 drafts after 10pm, that was solid. its a shame i had to call it early
for the info about the alumni dinners, are you getting that to your personal email or your wustl email?

from looking at the CC in my email it looks like they are sending it to either your wustl email or personal email, maybe depending on whether someone has set up their wustl email....

Probably whatever the law school has on file. My wustl and go.wustl addresses are set up, but I know that the school has my personal address on hand. So, I got it to my personal address.
And still nothing on mylaw about classes. Le sigh.

Sorry for being late to the party, but I just saw the dressing requirements for orientation week a couple of pages back. I'm trying to get a feeling of what guys are planning on wearing (specifically, for the first day) - suit (jacket and tie included) or simply a pair of slacks, dress shirt, and possibly a tie? And what about for the rest of the week - jeans, khakis, maybe shorts? (Personal side note: I try to get the consensus on these sort of things ever since I had a bad experience for coming EXTREMELY underdressed for a work meeting at a not-to-be-named retail giant (Best Buy) - most embarrassing experience ever!)
Also, for those who are in the fantasy football league, have we decided on a draft date or web site for our league, yet?

I talked directly to admissions on this, and they said suit and tie on the first day, and then business casual really just means "respectable looking casual." Shorts are fine with a nice polo or a button down. Just no sweatpants, tattered jeans, etc.

Thanks, Romo! Looks like I'll be purchasing my first suit this weekend.

im going three piece suit, but id imagine i will be relatively overdressed. i just bought the suit a few months ago and havent had a reason to wear it. I promise im not as douchey as a three piece suit on the first day would suggest, i just love me a good suit.
If I was a normal person, I would go suit or blazer & slacks on day 1 and then polos and khakis for wednesday (tuesday is service project) then get fed up with the BS and just polo and jeans for thursday and friday

I'm gonna wear some dress slacks, a nice dress shirt, and a blue blazer on Monday. I'll probably bring a tie along but leave it in the car in case I need it for some picture. It better not be hot.

I actually have 4 suits, i'm just not enthused to have to wear one outside of a formal dinner during orientation. I'll find one and wear it for monday and the dinner, but the rest of the week i'm going shorts+vans+t shirt or whatever.

Check with your dinner host on dress code. My alumni dinner a couple years ago was at his house and was a jeans and polo type affair.

Transaction dates in past were:
8/19/2009 (classes started 8/26) and 8/21/2008 (classes started 8/27)
Edit: Not that checks being released early in the past is indicative of an early release this year.

That'd be nice. I just remember reading an email or something that told us to have enough money to get us through the first day of classes (or something to that effect).

Mine seems to be at a "fancy" type restuarant.

Me too, had full intention of going to it at beginning of last night. No chance at the end of it.
That's weak brah. I was able to rally this morning and make it, and I was with you every step of the way last night.
The coffee thing was good, I met a lot of cool people. I feel like we have a great group this year. We went to Pi for pizza afterwards and it was outstanding.

Just found out I can't do an alumni dinner because I signed up too late. I was really looking forward to the event, so I'm REALLY upset about not being able to go.
But it is definitely my fault for not signing up right away, so I have no one to blame but myself. Just sucks.
