There are plenty of bars downtown, in the CWE, and the Loop.

If you think you will have really late nights at the law school be advised that there is a free shuttle van to take you home from 7:00 pm - 2:30 am --- however it only has a limited service area.

i guess the shuttles do not go to CWE? makes sense since only the medical school is on that side.

That particular shuttle does not serve CWE. However, the regular bus routes and the metrolink train both serve CWE.

its near campus and its near everything else. i found a nice enough studio and since i have a car i can drive everywhere anyways. but i guess i shouldn't really care too much whether or not 1L's live by me. but its all graduates so ill make friends from other fields like business i suppose.

If the metro goes a block to the school and until 12 I don't really need a shuttle. I'm not planning on spending super late nights at school maybe till like 8 or 9. I do like studying in a library as opposed to home, keeps me a little more focused. I do however want to be able to walk to restaurants and bars in an urban area. Not to be invasive Najumobi but is the area you're living in around Euclid or Laclede or something? That's the area I'm looking at because of the proximity to the metro by the Hospital, on Scott Ave. Fuck, Google maps is the shit.

Anywhere north-southeast of the school is going to be urban meaning there are a lot of stores and such by residences. If you want proximity to night life U-City and CWE are where you need to be. If you don't have a car, more shuttles/stops go into U-City than CWE and their are shuttle stops for more amenities (grocieries and such) in U-City. That being said, it's def. not impossible to do those things from CWE either. Both are great areas.

+1. I'm living with a social work masters student. I think being away from law related anything might be necessary for my time at home lol.

that's good....if at least other grad students are choosing to live there then it should be a fine place for you.

nope i found it through the Quadrangle Housing Company. but i double checked and the place im living at does not show up for undergraduates. it only shows up as graduate housing so i assume everyone in the building are graduate students. can't speak for the other buildings in the area, but a few undergraduates can't be that bad.

I mean King Cobra malt liquor? Seriously? I guess Kirin, Bass, Rolling Rock, Bass, and Stella are alright. How much are beers anyway? I saw on a thread somewhere that there were $2 pitcher specials. I almost cried. I guess I'll have to decide between U City and CWE when I visit, maybe for the housing day?

i was surprised by the price of beer in st. louis. at one of my favorite bars in chapel hill it costs $5.50 for their pale ale but at one bar i was at on delmar it was $3.50.
