Has anyone seen the schedule. I didnt expect the classes to be so intense. Also, there seems to be 2 sections for Criminal Law or do we have to take both Crim Law A&B at the same time?

Just checked and none of my professors have put up 1st day assignments yet unlike section 2

I have no idea. I was surprised they didn't mention it in the email.

yeah I was looking at the too. Unfort, for my section if you get section B you're screwed b/c you'll have this super long break in between classes.

I already have reading assignments... I was beginning to enjoy being out of school.

What is the cheapest way to get books. Buy on amazon and then re-sell after the semester? Or rent from the campus book store?

Go onto ISIS. Under the Fall Schedule, the rooms are listed for each class on your schedule. I got Criminal Law B

Mine's not up yet. They're probably working through all of the schedules today.

Another UF friend of mine got section 1. I'm seeing a trend.

not esp. excited about the 4pm class. Thankfully Seigel is entertaining (hopefully). I kinda wish the classes were't spread all over the day, but at least thurs/fri are mostly open..

Buy used.

Shiny and new books are nice, but you can buy used ones for half the price. If you MUST have an unhighlighted book (Srsly .. y'all have no idea how helpful it is to have one) then ... honestly ... I usually got the best deal from Amazon..

HOWEVER, Wilbert's next to the law school bundles books together by section, and then sells them with a small discount to 1Ls. I never did that, but I have heard it is actually a good deal.

Speaking of ... I do have all my old books and supplements from last year, some written in some not. When I get home, I'll have to make a list of what I have.

I never buy used. Highlighting in books annoys me to no end.

Personality wise I just didn't care for her. She knows her stuff, I'll give her that, but she can be pretty abrasive at times. She did make a girl cry in our class once. She seems a bit nicer when you talk to her in her office, and she's willing to answer any questions you might have about law school in general or interviewing ... just ... in class, it can get to be a bit much.

HOWEVER, her exam was nice in that while we did go over a huge topic, she told us beforehand it would not be on the exam, and that we did not have to study for it.

I guess you are credited in saying she's a bit abrasive in class, but certainly not half as bad as many professors I've heard about at other schools. And she is extremely nice and willing to help students outside of class, which, imho, ameliorates the negative reputation she has for the bit of class time abrasiveness.

Yeah, I will buy 'like-new' books. I don't mind if a couple pages have some highlighted portions. The notes in the margins are what disturbs me.
