Forget football tickets....I just got a spot in the San Jac Garage. The summer to fall renewal worked like a charm.

Re: Texas 2013
I bought a summer pass to SJG as I planned on living further away from campus; however, my wife and I decided to rent a place in Hyde Park. Does anyone want me to renew my pass in SJG for them? I'd gladly do it if someone was willing to split the cost of the summer pass (paid $130 or so.)
Not sure if this is allowed... Does anyone know if they can be transfered?

Yeah, I'm kinda in the same position - I bought the summer pass when I thought I'd be living south of campus. Now I'm going to be in Hyde Park and am thinking about buying a motorcycle permit instead. ($540 difference/yr*3yrs = $1600+)

I don't think I'm going to buy a parking pass. One of the UT shuttles runs right by my apartment complex.
Anyone else busin' it?

I was thinking about getting a car at first, but I ended up getting a place basically 2 blocks from the school. Live in NYC now and DC before that, so I haven't really had the need for a car for about the past 7 years. Is Austin survivable without a car?smokyroom26 wrote:I don't think I'm going to buy a parking pass. One of the UT shuttles runs right by my apartment complex.

As long as you make friends with someone who has one you will be fine. You don't really need one if you don't mind public transportation though.Watto wrote:I was thinking about getting a car at first, but I ended up getting a place basically 2 blocks from the school. Re: Texas 2013
regarding the groups, someone from the law school usually makes one and most people join it. i haven't heard about anyone making any groups yet, but if i do i'll post something here.
also, if anyone is interested in buying land to get residency, my friend still has a few lots to sell, so shoot me a PM. spend 2k to save 30k is a pretty good deal.

Looks like it's supposed to be raining for the next ten days. The movers won't charge us extra if it's raining will they? lol.Pearalegal wrote:I get in tomorrow evening, all I know is that its supposed to be pouring the day my movers arrive!
