Yeah go at the last minute, that way if you get arrested WUSTL won't have time to revoke your scholarship or something.NU_Jet55 wrote:Sounds like an awesome idea. Diving in Sharm el Sheikh was practically a religious experience for me. Very jealous, nyyankees!nyyankees wrote:so ive recently decided that this is going to be the only thread i post in on tls going forward, so the fact that no one is posting is slightly disappointing.

I am all of a sudden getting really excited about WUSTL. I have been so focused on the waitlists, that I sort of forgot how much I loved St Louis, love the campus, and loved the faculty and Deans we got to meet. Go Bears!

WashU doesn't get enough love from its future graduates. I like both St. Louis and the school on their own merits and might stick around after graduation... and it's hard even for me to avoid getting sucked into blindly hoping for WL offers I may or may not accept (cough*Caboose*cough). On the other hand I think I'm just shameless enough to try and leverage any late acceptances I get for more money

Haha, "Go Bears!" is not something I am accustomed to hearing around here. We aren't a big sports school.
In other news, I'm officially done with my undergrad work! YEAH!

Re: WUSTL Class of 2013
how much diving have you done? I took my first dive ever yesterday and now i really want to do more so I think ill get my open water at some point on this trip. Ive heard really good things about Sharm as well. I seriously love it here. I met a guy from London last night who left his job as a management consultant at McKinsey and is now getting all his certifications done to be a dive instructor. Its def that kind of place that makes you want to forget the rest of the world and just let yourself get sucked injks289 wrote:Diving in Sharm el Sheikh was practically a religious experience for me. A fair amount, but I'm no expert (Still need someone else to safety check gear, etc). If you get a chance while you're there go to Sharm. The water is so clear you can see to the bottom, there is a big reef that supports tons of life (we saw sharks, eel, all kinds of crazy fish) and the coolest part is at the bottom of the Red Sea off the coast there are sunken turn of the century naval ships. There is so little regulation you can swim right up and in them. Everything valuable was stripped decades ago, but it still amazing to see.nyyankees wrote:how much diving have you done? Happy St. Honore Day! (the patron saint of bakers) If my apartment had an oven I'd be celebrating.
I'm with nyyankees- this is the only thread I post in now and it will probably be posts of really random things. (Like above...and below)
Yesterday was Paella day sponsored by the universities and the fireworks wouldn't stop. I'm so tired.
