Has anyone who has completed all the financial aid stuff gotten any sort of confirmation?

I've filled out and signed everything and double checked it all, but it would still be nice if Michigan would send me something that says my schooling will be paid for and I won't have any nasty surprises.

Hey everyone -- didn't put down my deposit last week, so now withdrawn. Sorry that I took it down to the last minute, but I had a tough decision.

Maybe my 67,500 scholly will be dispersed to someone matriculating -- I hope so!

Best of luck for the next 3 years at UMich!

Just bought a Mich Law T-shirt online last week. Got it in the mail yesterday But yeah, I feel the same way. When I visited I hadn't decided on Michigan yet. If I had, I would have bought some more stuff.

Would have loved to join you guys this fall but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Turning down the Darrow was one of the hardest decisions I have ever made. Hope some of you get the chance to take road trips to Chicago though, it's only 4 hours away and I'll have a spare room!

Also, for your uniqname, my first and last name without a space was available, and so was first initial and last name...which do you think would be better? Seriously, I didn't think this non-decision would even exist, but the stupid paragraph about how important your uniqname is made me take pause...

you know, at first I was going to say do the first initial and last name (pretty much what I did), but if you have a short first and last name option #1 might be better. If it's your full name, every time a potential employer/professor contacts you they will have to write out/view your full name, reinforcing you in their head. Good way to separate yourself out if they're emailing a ton of people/group list.

My last name was 1 letter too long for me to do that so I did first name and last initial

My uniqname is just my initials. 3 letters. I was pretty stoked, given the fact that I have a long, confusing last name that has contributed to some awkward and ugly email addresses in the past.

And we got MichLaw alumni shirts for the service event, no decal. I don't know whether to put a or a at the end of that sentence. I love my car...
