I dont know if this has been brought up but what do you guys think UVA eliminating the deadline will do as far as money for us ED kids? More EDs = more $$$'s spent on us? Or More EDs = more $$$ spent on kids who would have went to Harvard?

I'd imagine that more EDs means less of a need to throw full rides to lure people away from HYSCCN so more money to the (now larger) ED group as a whole.

Just out of curiosity, what do you guys do if you don't mind sharing?

I work in the Aerospace industry. I'm an Quality assurance analyst/planner in materials. Guess that sums up the position. I want to take at least two weeks off at some point and go somewhere exotic with the SO and kid. I'll see how that works out. Have to pay the bills too, you know.

I work in aerospace too, engineering. I'm planning to leave at the end of July, but I've been saving all my vacation so I will get paid like I'm there through most of August. It's scary walking away from a paycheck to accumulate tons of debt.

Does it seem like a lot of the "accepteds" are coming from the workforce - and not directly from ug institutions?

If I had to guess, it will be more on the kids who have ridiculous numbers to lure them to UVA. Hoping thats not true. Definitely not banking on getting a cent of merit aid with my shit GPA, but if I see even a dime from them, UVA would make me very happy
