Glad you made a decision nyyankees; it's a good one imo!
Do it, and feel free to add me as well. I'm up for having some Wash U FB friends.
Haha...I already friended you after your post a few days ago...

If it wasn't you, then some other person from the fb group can now check out my awesome (
but really quite dull) profile.

I'll friend everyone as soon as I can join (Still not ready to announce to work, clients, etc via Facebook).
By the way najumobi, out of curiosity, is there a reason you feel so comfortable being non-anonymous on TLS. Not many people use real names and pictures on sites like this. I don't think I say anything too terrible on here, but I am constantly worried about an adcom or real life acquaintance finding me on here. I am also wondering if it is smart to out myself to future classmates who may have already formed an opinion, for better or worse, about my online persona. What is your rationale and do you participate in other online communities as yourself?

there may be a way to hide what facebook groups you are in. there was some kind of update to facebook and none of the groups i belong to seem to be visible when viewing my profile.
i only participate in TLS (and LSN, naturally) and facebook. i actually use TLS more than i use facebook. i don't like chatting on facebook (i use AIM) and i rarely send messages to people on facebook. all i do is look at friend's pictures and make status comments once every couple of days.though i imagine once law school starts i'll rarely use TLS...maybe i'll read and respond to others' comments about exams when the time comes, but that's about it. i feel comfortable with being non-anonymous b/c i don't think i would ever have to feel sorry or apologize for anything i say here. i don't really like being part of or taking part in anything controversial (whether it's taking part in activities or discussions, so it's not hard for me to stay away from stuff like that while on this site. i just try to make informative and helpful comments.

you can hide all of your groups and any updates to groups from everyone on facebook if you like.
trust me, i don't want my work finding out i'm going to law school. i'd be instantly fired.

There is a shuttle that will take you directly in front of your building at wait for you to get inside in the wee hours of the night (if you live in certain areas). They are expanding it also. The rape is very upsetting, but unfortunately this could happen in any city like people have said. I walk to and from home all the time, but I'm lucky enough to have a car so when I have to stay on campus late I drive.
I wanted to stay in St Louis over the summer and would have gladly hung out with any of you. But no one hired me and I need $ so I will be working in LA for the summer.
Also, I too am going straight from undergrad. I have my very last class in half an hour.

It is with great regret that I, the founder of the WUSTL Class of 2013 thread, have submitted my withdrawal to WUSTL this afternoon.
It wasn't an easy choice, and to be honest, until two days ago I was planning on being in St. Louis with you guys.
I'll be at Northwestern in two weeks.

I think that you made a wise choice. maybe you should do nothing but little kid things these next two weeks, though. before you die.

I'm reading that right now on flights between home and work every week. It gets you in a good mindset.

Just got placed on the Northwestern waitlist, released from the Virginia waitlist, and subsequently paid my second deposit at WUSTL. The waitlist game is a headache, but I'm glad to know that I'll definitely be in St. Louis next year!

Sorry to hear it, man. I know the Northwestern offer was too good to pass up! Good luck in Chicago!
I, on the other hand, am about to pay the second deposit now that online payment has been unlocked again.

Yeah, I was looking forward to have some triple tigers kick some butt at WUSTL (assuming you when to PLJH).

I forgot to. I think I'm a pretty good candidate for it, but I don't know how beneficial it actually is. Isn't it possible to apply during 1L?

I got it but I don't think I'll apply. I know I don't qualify as socio-economically disadvantaged, and I don't really think pre-law prep programs are particularly helpful. Anyone considering it?

I didn't get this email! What does it say?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
