Time for a bump. I'm about to write a few withdrawl emails, so it looks like I will be a UCD student for sure! I'm a little sad about giving up my other options, but I can't procrastinate forever.

I am 100% on Davis, but too lazy to withdraw from other schools. I don't want to dig up my Hastings acceptance to find my log-in info and USD keeps sending me nice emails

I withdrew from everywhere but Pacific. They waived the seat deposit, so I basically have all summer to decide If something goes wrong, I have a backup.

Um, dude, I think nuclear war would not be something going wrong enough to make you switch from Davis to McGeorge. Go ahead and withdraw.

Also, Inygma, do the same. Just email the admissions office and give them your name. Think of all those poor kids languishing on WLs. They will love you for it.

Will they erect statues in my honor? If so, brb.

The reception was pretty good. Got to meet some alumni and new fellow students. I also talked to a professor for awhile. It was cool of him to come out. Dean J gave a speech. It was extremely hot inside, but a beautiful view. I met a woman who helps with Public Interest career services and told her she is going to be my new best friend. That's about it.

Am I the only dweefus who pulls up the King Hall renovations webcam nearly every day? And is practically giddy that it seems like they're fixin' to grade/landscape the lawn soon? And is excited that the scaffolding has been removed from the courtyard? What is wrong with me?

i noticed this too. when i visited a couple months ago i told my girlfriend, "this place won't be finished by August." then a few days ago i checked the webcam for the first time, and it actually looks like it's moving along nicely. now, the building is still really ugly, but oh well...not everything can be perfect! see you at davis!

Yeah I drove by a few weeks ago when I was signing my lease in Davis and it looks much better! Man, I'm excited to start

okay, quick question for anyone who understands financial aid better than I do: at what point do we actually pay? I know the website says payment is due by the 23rd. But I've looked at my e-bill account and no fees are listed. My financial aid page shows that all my loans were approved, but I don't really understand how that all works; in other words, how I use my loans to pay Davis. I'm taking out loans for about 2/3 of tuition (25K in loans). How/when do I pay the difference (about 15K or so), and how do I know exactly how much I owe? What other actions do I need to take with my loans?
