So, good news, as far as I can tell...PLUS loans will NOT go out tomorrow, and they have no idea when they will be disbursed.

Yeah, I'm still waiting on my PLUS to be certified. Good thing none of us are relying on this money to pay bills or anything important.

Did you speak to enrollment services, Kalvano, or did you actually get in touch with the legendary SE himself?

Are you kidding me? Stan Eddy doesn't return any phone calls or emails, ever. I spoke with Financial Aid, and worked my way up to whoever is 3rd or 4th in charge, and got the number for the person who is 2nd in charge. Every time someone tried to pass me off to Stan Eddy, I refused. I finally got the info that they were working on certifying loans last week, and are continuing to do so. I will continue to to call and make a general nuisance until I get a real date. I loathe inefficiency.

I invested the money my judge gave me to help cover parking expenses, and managed to flip $160 into $80k.

Mine was certified today. It's funny how you start sending emails and leaving voicemails asking what the hell is going on and pointing out that aid is about to disburse and you start paying interest on it that second and you want to know right the hell now what's going on and poof...things magically get done.

Also, finished my first cite check and am thoroughly convinced I screwed it up royally.

How do you know if it's certified or not?

When you check Access, go the Financial Aid section, and click on where it says "anticipated disbursement schedule" (or something like that). If it gives a date and a loan amount, it's close.

Once it's officially certified, there will be a little link next to it on the main Financial Aid awards page that says "loan details".

How are we expected to pay for our textbooks? When we got here last year, Stan Eddy was a joke, to say the least, but now its getting ridiculous. Last semester we received our refunds a full week BEFORE the semester started. There's got to be something we can do about this...

If you call and raise enough hell and refuse to be put off, you can get solid information and maybe even have things accelerated.

It could take a while, but it's possible.
