Re: UVA Class of 2013
do you think that you can get a 1 bedroom cheaper than 675.00? I mean, I don't mind traveling to different streets at UVA and commuting to the law school using uva's bus/walking. I'm still debating if I should get the jeffersonian apt or wait a few weeks before school starts and get a better deal?YCrevolution wrote:You should be able to get the floorplan you want near/on your wanted move-in date, unless you have a really bad credit/criminal history.jawsthegreat wrote:Thanks,YCrevolution wrote:Also, Jeffersonian Apartments applications are now available here: --LinkRemoved--

As Kathy notes on the webpage, DO NOT submit your application before January 1st.
Do you know how likely it is to get an apt at the Jeffersonian if you submit on the first?
Also, do you know when ivy gardens apps will be available?
I think Ivy Gardens starts taking apps in February or March. If you submit by the end of April, you should be able to get one of the apartments closer to the law school (and you should be able to get an apartment in Ivy Gardens well into the summer).

On the application it asks whether you want to move in on June 1st, August 16th, or other. If i want to move in on August 1st would that be a problem?

Re: UVA Class of 2013
So I don't play much Xbox (except Rock Band where I like to pretend that I know how to drum) but my husband has been playing a lot of MW2 and needs some people his own age to play with since everyone he seems to play with is in middle school. His gamer tag is biggs03.joeshmo39 wrote:Was santa good to anyone else? I got Modern Warfare 2 and Borderlands. I figure there has to be some other xbox 360 owners here in the thread (maybe not, but probably). With that in mind, can we get a TLS UVA Xbox live gamertag sound-off going?
GT: Joeshmo39
I have MW2, Borderlands, Halo 3, NHL 10, Fight Night Round 4
If enough people have gamertags, we can set a night in the next few weeks to all sign in, group up and play. Also, I'm pretty terrible at MW2, but I'd still play, so everyone step up.
The PS3 people are encouraged to put up their gamertags and form their own cult community. Also, if you post your PS3 tag, you're opening yourself up for me to move into your apartment early September and play Uncharted 2.

I noticed there is no application fee for the Jeffersonian. How quickly can you expect that they require some sort of deposit to secure your spot after sending in your application?

Does the Jeffersonian have an apartment to show potential renters? I'm going to be in Charlottesville the last weekend in January and I'd like to be able to check out an apartment. It doesn't look like there is much closet space and I can't figure out what's going on with the kitchen (over by the window on the floorplans, the kitchen makes an L-shape, what is that?) so I'd like to see it for myself.

I asked about this and was told that they did not.

Thanks. I would have never guessed that it was a closet. I hoped it was a pantry. I've been out of undergrad for a few years and now I have a lot of stuff to cram into an apartment, so storage is a concern.YCrevolution wrote: All apartments are currently rented, hence no model apartment. However, if you ask me nicely, I'll show y'all my apartment if you promise to pretend it's not messy and disorganized.
The L-shaped thing in the kitchen is actually the A/C closet (an actual closet, with a door).

Quick, I need a restaurant that's unique (not a chain) and around 15-20 dollars per person to take people to that doesn't include the following:
Aryana's Cafe
Tara Thai
SUGGESTIONS?
