I think there was a mention somewhere about wanting to get some michigan gear.. this site is the athletic shop, so it doesn't have any MLaw specific stuff, but they have a promotion going on through tonight for $50 off a $100 purchase - use code "tax25"
http://www.mogoblueshop.com
I remember how excited I was this time last year.. Congrats to all of you guys! Feel free to PM if you have any questions
and now... back to outlining

I'm starting to look at insurance. Have any of the current students used the UHS? Do you just carry major medical? The school's plan is ridiculously expensive. Blue Cross Yong Adult is only $50/month and covers the major stuff but I'd essentially have to use UHS for all doc visits.

UHS isn't bad, I went to undergrad at Michigan and it has always worked alright for me. At peak time the wait can get a little bit long, but I don't think you'll notice a huge difference in quality of care between UHS and your everyday clinic/doc office.

Can't wait to meet everyone in August! This was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make... until ASW. For some reason on the plane back I had they lyrics "Signed.... Sealed... Delivered, I'm yours" playin in my head.

I joined the Michigan facebook network today. It was oddly exciting. Also, set up the school email.

Why so close? Why the hesitation?

well i really loved michigan when i visited. i guess my hesitation pertains to chicago's higher ranking and smaller class size, which i feel like could be beneficial when it comes to job searching....

if you care at all about quality of life, Michigan crushes chicago. I deposited 2 days after I was accepted and LOVE MICHIGAN but I will say that chicagos ranking would give me pause too. however, Ann arbor is too awesome to pass up and rankings are overrated.

Would Chicago leave a few more doors open than Michigan? Probably, other things being equal. But, in this case, I say go with your heart. It has its reasons.

For current students and people in the area already...

I am. If I hadn't lived in Ohio for a year, this would be my first real winter coming up. Although we did actually get snow down here this year, and my hometown is a bit further north in the state so we usually get snow and ice once or twice a winter.
