Just because I'm neurotic and want to make sure I haven't missed anything...

all we had to do so far was accept our EFAN/awards notifications? Is there a second deposit due anytime soon?

A while back you mentioned brand new apartments that were really nice and affordable. I'm definitely interested in finding out the name....will be in Austin next week to finalize living arrangements. Please share. Thanks.

Hopefully for 2L I'll have made some friends I can live with and save up more cash.
Agreed. For what its worth, I will be living in a 4 bedroom house in Hyde Park and my other three roommates will move out at the end of the year (finishing their own degrees). So I'm hoping to find some people to replace them in a year.

3 hours. 50 true/false. 40 multiple choice. each multiple choice question had over a page of text to read and several different issues to weed through before selecting the best answer. and because of the curve, no one has any idea in the slightest what grade they got. awfulness

hey, it takes a manly man to admit a love of dancing kittens

most exams are essay, but the professors have complete discretion in what kind of test they give, whether it is open or closed book, whether it is take home, or whatever. Some also give midterms. From what I hear my contracts prof is the only one who does multiple choice contracts exams.

Of my 6 big 1L classes, 4 will have been big, in-class three or four hour essays, 1 will have been all multiple choice/true or false, and 1 will have been a bizarre half in-class multiple choice, half 24 hour take home essay exam.

the T/F were easy, and each one only took seconds - but they were only worth one raw point each. The multiple choice were four points each, and they each took several minutes. I'm glad its over :|

Interesting... I'm sure those were 24 stress-free hours!

when you add in the two hours of multiple choice for the first half of the exam, it was essentially a 26 hour test. I'm going to be happy beyond description to be done with 1L.
