Flying up next Monday (16th). Can't move into my apartment until the 25th! I'll be crashing at my brother's place for the first week of class.

Still haven't got all my immunization stuff sorted out. How am I supposed to prove I had chicken pox? We were hardcore when I was little so there was no doctor involved, just lots of calamine lotion.

I also don't think I've had an "MMR2" shot...sigh - more to do before I arrive.

I think if you take the form to the doctor and just tell him you had the pox you'll be ok. When we were young it was tons more common for kids to get it than not and get the vaccine eventually, so I'm sure he'll be fine with taking your account as fact. Mine was documented as happening when I was a year and a half old, which is wrong. But whatever. I had it, and now they know.
As for MMR2, you probably had it. It was required to start 7th grade in my district so that's probably likely everywhere else too.

But you should get that form in ASAP. Don't want them keeping you from starting classes.

I don't think they require any proof. Just put down when you had it (or your parents' closest guess) and you should be fine. As long as you're not lying, of course. hah.

I don't think they require any proof. Just put down when you had it (or your parents' closest guess) and you should be fine. As long as you're not lying, of course. hah.

They require either proof of vaccination or a lab test showing immunity. So either you get a titer or you get the vaccine. You can go down to the student health office (I think its on K near 22nd) and they can do the titer there or give a vaccination. Be prepared to pay though.

Also, if all of your ducks aren't in a row soon they will put a hold on you and you will not be registered for classes. I have been battling with them over my immunization status for two weeks and I promise you they will not take your word for it.

Anyone know what our schedule will be like? Will we be in class from really early till like late night or something? I want to get a cat but want to be sure I don't leave it alone for too long during the day (basically I'll study at my apartment or something).

Yeah, that's probably what will happen. I just hope I have really early morning classes and a schedule that ends around 2 or 3. Then I can come home, have lunch and study all day before going to the gym around 9:30-10 and then watching some tv before I sleep. And of course during this time I can keep the cat company:).

Fall 2010 Registration
The GW Law Records Office will register you for your fall 2010 semester classes at the end of the week of August 10th. On Monday, August 16th, we will send information to you with instructions for you to view your schedule online. Please note that section assignments and class schedules may change up until Orientation. Therefore, we urge you not to purchase and/or write in text books until you receive the hard copy of your schedule at Orientation.

That'll be my luck. But I'm still checking banweb obsessively. (still not registered).
