Just got approved for my apartment at Benton Villa. Looks like my waiting is over, and I'll be a Hawkeye this fall. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

To everyone who has had their apartment applications approved: how long did it take?

It took a max of like three days for me. I had the lease and everything done within the week.

Precisely 1 day. He ran a credit check and reference check, no problems arose, got the call, done.

Anybody on here going to be living, or is currently living, at Benton Villa apartments?

I will be living there, starting August 1st. I have a 1BR. It's a lot more expensive than I wanted to pay, but I had trouble finding good 1BR's left (as of Monday) in the area.

Yeah it is expensive, but it's enormous, and you get your own parking spot (a big plus for me) and a porch. I think it's worth it, especially 1L when you want to be as comfortable as possible. That was my thinking, anyway. See you in August.

I dunno what co-ed flag football was like at your UGs, but at mine I saw at least two instances where men injured women pretty bad (broken jaw, broken? leg). Not insinuating anything here. But mshflyer, you may have to make some sacrifices if my UG is representative in any way

Yeah, England has to play the Germans. We get Ghana. Germany has a really good team. No way we would have gotten past them in the next round (although two of their players are doubtful for their match on Sunday).

No I'm not already down there (down for me too, being from Michigan). I am just so anxious to get the heck out of this place that I am prematurely trying to plan something. In a few weeks I'll post again lol.
