It took a max of like three days for me. I had the lease and everything done within the week.

Thanks everyone. I was worried because I have a personal situation that has excluded me from certain housing options in the past, but my application was approved today!

Yeah it is expensive, but it's enormous, and you get your own parking spot (a big plus for me) and a porch. I think it's worth it, especially 1L when you want to be as comfortable as possible. That was my thinking, anyway. See you in August.Undergradut wrote:I will be living there, starting August 1st. I have a 1BR. It's a lot more expensive than I wanted to pay, but I had trouble finding good 1BR's left (as of Monday) in the area.Anybody on here going to be living, or is currently living, at Benton Villa apartments?

I am interested in signing up an intramural flag football team for law students. Post if you're interested.

I'm definitely interested...as long as you don't mind having a girl on your team

Oh, well in that case, that should make things easier. Well we have 3 people so far then, and if you can catch and run, I can throw.Slimpee wrote:Iowa probably has LS intramurals but i'd down regardless! Yeah if you're actually organizing a team, you can put my name on the list.
I dunno what co-ed flag football was like at your UGs, but at mine I saw at least two instances where men injured women pretty bad (broken jaw, broken? leg). Not insinuating anything here. But mshflyer, you may have to make some sacrifices if my UG is representative in any way

Yeah, England has to play the Germans. We get Ghana. Germany has a really good team. No way we would have gotten past them in the next round (although two of their players are doubtful for their match on Sunday).Slimpee wrote:Me, too! We should meet up after August 1 and before orientation and try to organize something. Anybody down to get together for a little practice? I just want to get outside and do something.Yacht_Party wrote:Yeah if you're actually organizing a team, you can put my name on the list.

Meet up for a beer some night ~ 1 August (I guess that's when most of the leases start). Then we'll figure things out. No use doing this online.
Andrew, are you already down there or something? (I say "down" being from MN, ha).

No I'm not already down there (down for me too, being from Michigan). I am just so anxious to get the heck out of this place that I am prematurely trying to plan something. In a few weeks I'll post again lol.Yacht_Party wrote:Meet up for a beer some night ~ 1 August (I guess that's when most of the leases start). Then we'll figure things out. No use doing this online.

Haha okay I understand. I'm not quite there yet (enjoying doing almost nothing for about 2 months), but I'm sure I will be soon. Feel free to pm me/swap emails, whatever.
